Riverside Cafe And Bistro reviews
35Pleasant ambiance, delicious food and great staff. Definitely worth making this a regular. Wholesome and unpretentious.
Food was ok, they were very generous with the salmon, service was good. Nice small little venue.
Very popular dinner spot. I would recommend for an easy good dinner out place. Good selection of pasta/ pizzas. Wine too
Food was good and fresh. I don't think they like digital nomads though. We sat for a proper breakfast while we worked. I asked for wifi while waiting for my hubby and instead of verbally giving it to me the owner im assuming took my phone and secretly punched it in. Then my husband came in and needed wifi and same thing. Very strange for a upmarket spot in Bryanston. Big sign says no coffee no workee. So it did feel alittle awkward when we finished our meals and beverages and were just working on our laptops.
Excellent tastefully prepared food offering more than the average restaurant. Friendly service.
Good service and value for buck. I had the Salmon pasta and it was super delicious. Pasta to salmon ratio could be adjusted to more salmon or less pasta even at the decent pricing. Great coffee.
If you don’t smoke avoid this place. This shebeen has smokers sitting next to the no smoking area, the worst breakfast experience in Johannesburg. Staff and management useless and rude. Food is completely a disaster.next door you can find the Jackson’s real food market and eatery that’s the only place I would recommend in that area.
The atmosphere is clean and calming. Really enjoyed the vibe. The menu is extensive and you'll find find something on there to satisfy even the most particular of cravings. I had the chocolate cake, which was really one of the nicest pieces of chocolate cake I've ever had.
Reunited again! I was so happy to see some familiar faces and the same efficient and organised service that I remember from years ago in their previous location. Another thing that didn't change is the absolute perfect quality of the food. This is a neighbourhood favourite, but well worth a drive to come enjoy this great restaurant.
Unfortunately manager/owner won't do small tasks like bring you the bill and you have to beg and wait 20min for bill each time. Ask the manager he just shouts at a water instead of pushing the button and bringing you the bill. Given up that service will improve and the good food doesn't make up for bad service.
Ordered rib eye steak, medium rare.comes well done.try return it and the chef/owner comes to confront to me. I suppose the steaks I’ve been ordering medium rare for the past 40 years must have been done wrong
Great service, better coffee
Love this spot for its delicious early or mid morning breakfasts outside- where people bring their adorable dogs with them.
Loved it. Been wanting a breakfast with kippers for a really long time. Best kippers ever and great breakfast for Missus and me.
Best chocolate cake around. Good food and staff. The manager/ owner (with the ponytail) appeared to be quite a dick though.
This place is a nice place for an afternoon meal or dinner. It's well situated in bryanstone, right in the suburbs away from the hassle of the big city next door. The menu is diverse, with pasta, pizza, sea food and what not. You could say they are trying to feed you whatever which way. The ambience is pleasant, with a healthy stream of natural light flooding in during the day. The waiters are friendly and the locals are.doesn't matter, you're there to eat not be an anthropologist. Of the food, I can only attest to have eaten two pasta dishes to-date and never been disappointed. The food tastes fresh and flavourful. I'd recommend this place for everyone.
