Salsa Mexican Grill Kyalami reviews
32Ordered at this branch for the first time last night and honestly, never again. I was so disappointed when I got home to see how the Gringo quesadilla barely had any fillings and the churros were extremely soggy and small. We couldn't even finish the meal, it's unfortunate that it was a waste of time.
Good day. I ordered a gringo quesadilla for lunch. The food was so bland, hardly any flavour and a few pieces of beef. I was told it's spicy but there was none. It was a disappointing experience. Plus this was my first visit.
Thanks
I entered the restaurant and waited to be seated for 15 min and I ended up leaving. I was judged by my looks I presume but I was not attended to and the manager on duty too was having conversation with the staff from a distance and I was able to see them and they could see me
Absolutely loved my veg enchiladas and cocktail… great place for a family meal with a wide variety of veg options (and if you don’t like what’s on menus, I appreciate that the waiter accommodated my special requests). Delicious!
Thank you Salsa Kyalami Corner for a great night of World Cup Rugby. The atmosphere was wonderful.
Love this place! Best tequila in town lovely friendly staff. Delicious food, especially the nachos
What an awesome restaurant, Mexican cuisine, at its best. Excellent customer service and the best Nachos in town. Highly recommend for Mexican food.
Excellent vibe and Tuesday is quiznight so it is double the fun. Would 100% recommend this restaurant for a family night out or just for some fun with friends on quiznight
Consistently one of the best restaurants in the area.
Free tequilas come around every so often, a wide variety of Mexican drinks, food, a build-your-own-meal option and really well themed. A must-visit and one of my favourite Mexican restaurants.
The service was very good and the coctails were amazing, the reason for the low stars. I had the prawn tostada it is listed as a small plate yes but it is more than a R100 i assumed i would get more than three miniature prawns, portion sizes are definitely not worth the price, was tasty atleast. My partner had the clasic nachos with streaky backon, again the plate came and it looked like allot of food, but there was no salsa in the nachos the bacon was piled on the side and it was les than a scoop of bacon, the amount of guac was probably two table spoons for a whole bag of nacho chips this aswell was not worth the price if i wanted melted chees over chips i wouldhve made it at home for 50 rand not 150.
Over all the food was tasty, but they need to work on their portioning or adjust prices.coctails was amazing, wil definitely go there for a drink again (but eat beforehand)
We were there for the Spring festival. Food was excellent but the waitress.was missing in action, probably because they were very busy. The music was so loud we could not talk and we were at the last table before the parking lot. Also a bit confused about the two girls in feathers. They looked like paid performers.but did not perform, just jiggled around on the dance floor with the customers. Considering the DJ played some really good belly dance hits I found it a bit disappointing
Absolutely delicious food! They had a live dj and the atmosphere was amazing! The owner visits every table and is very hospitable! Highly recommend.
The management team and staff are awesome.they treat you with respect and make you feel at home.the food is delicious and they go out of their way to satisfy you.absolutely fantastic.
What a gem of a place. Friendly staff. Tasty food, Pleasant atmosphere with attention to detail with the decor. Litchie tequila out of this world. Well done Tony and crew.
It's always busy and has a great vibe. A half decent place to hang out.though.is about as far as one could possibly go for Mexican food. The food is inexplicably bland, assembled from pre-made buckets Chipotle style. I've tried various menu items over the years in an attempt to discover the reasons behind the constant crowds.
I'm still baffled. There are zero nuances of Mexican cuisine - rather generic meat mulches with a "salsa", tasteless "guac" and inordinate amounts of melted cheese define everything in the menu. Your only choice is to have the above with tacos, burrito or nachos.
But hey, they have cheap margarita jugs and chili poppers, that's Mexican right? Right?
I remain baffled.
Was very nice, Great tasty food and excellent wait staff.
Was great to sit outside.
Definitely go back again.
Good to chill and great customer service but the menu needs more items for it to be a regular spot
Great environment and a refreshing menu. Good food, good music and the staff are very interactive and helpful, kudos to Thami.
Scrumptious Mexican cuisine; love their fried chicken Chimichanga and original beef burrito, but poorly made runny milk shakes with whipped cream and not ice cream.
