For the price I pay here, it's a worst experience, got seated at a table it was reserved without an indicator, got seated at the next one, and it was reserved without an indicator. There is no coordination for reservations.

Food is okay.

Great atmosphere, delicious food. Our waitress Letia was awesome! Hoping to be served by her when we come back again. If anyone goes there, reach out to her.

This place is really good for sundowners. Their food menu is a little limited with an even tighter choice for vegan/vegetarian meals. Their drinks menu, however, is quite satisfactory. The space is big, both inside and outside, with the outside having gas heaters, some fire spots and a view of some of Sandton's really nice buildings.

Great service and the food is absolutely delicious. The view amazing and the vibe and culture makes you feel you are in the Maldives

Oh i love this place! It has some sentimental memories for me! Everytime i go to Sandton i have to visit and order that special meal NACHOS WITH CHICKEN! I even do takeaway! Just the atmosphere reminds me of that day

It was dope. Great food portions, luxe setting with great lighting design. Sections each have their own vibe, even aa little full. There is room enough that even a little full it's private. Covid precautions are being taken.

Lovely deck and restaurant. Menu is average and food was bland. Great place for drinks and some snacks not a full meal. Great atmosphere.

Biggest problem was the table service where it seems as though the place might need more waiters.

San Deck is one of the most phenomenal places to come for a sundowner straight after work. It offers magnificent city views of the centre of Sandton and is a very high-end place to sit and enjoy. Apart from a great menu and a gorgeous setting - what really sets this restaurant apart is the service. All the staff, from the waiters, barmen, and front-of-house are exceptional - they are kind, friendly and really do ensure that one is having a pleasant time. They are definitely the reason why I come back here again and again.

Mixed feelings. The inflexibility of the staff to make business decisions based on the needs of their patrons is just alarming. We asked for a table for 10 people around 2pm and there was "no availability", but there were several tables booked for 5pm and 6pm which were empty and for 4 and 6 seaters. It would make logical sense to put them together for the hours we were requesting and wait for other tables to open closer to the arrival of the othe rebooked tables than turn us away. Nonetheless we made our own little plans to secure seats out of desperation in the heat.
The food was sub standard and it's just a messy place. The sunset is blocked by all the immovable tents which have been erected, so if you're looking for a roof top vibe to watch sunset and have a beautiful ambiance with the stars out at night, that's all been taken away. The immovable chairs don't even allow you to cuddle around the boma on a cold night, so rather opt for the uncomfortable wire chairs.
Goodluck finding your waiter when it gets darker and busier.
All in all, if your company is great. You don't mind and look past all of this hence the 2 stars. But if you're entertaining people from out of town and want to show off Jhb rooftops. This is not the spot you want to do it at.

The place is beautiful but the main attraction is a sit outside with a view. 8 have now been sitting for more than an hour and couldn't get a seat outside. I called to make a reservation. But was thst is not their policy. Multiple people arriving after me have been seated. Not sure why.

Definetly suggest finding another rooftop bar. The expercien here is not worth its expensive prices.

The food though, can't believe a professional Chef added Vienna on a Pork Belly dish. Not Bacon at least?

Vibe here was really nice. Beautiful evening & lovely sunset atmosphere. But the service was slack and the food nothing to write home about. I think they can do better

Amazing views and excellent location. Beautiful and tasteful design. A good social place with friends or family.

I was so disappointed with the service we got today 18 Oct 2019. We sat there with no one coming to serve us until we walked out of the restaurant to eat else where.

Situated right in the heart of Sandton this is a very convenient place to stay and dine. A walking distance to the shopping mall, conference center, fitness facilities, Nelson Mandela Square and train station. The place offers a 5 star treatment. Not to miss is the spectacular chandelier that drops from the roof and visible in the bar area as well as the elevators. Perfect place to stay just for shopping or conferencing in the convention. I would highly recommend this place when you visit Sandton or even Johannesburg.

The view & ambience were really the only good things about this experience. Initially I had very high hopes because the hostess was very friendly, as was the manager who put our table together. Our server, however, was not attentive, and seemed annoyed to be serving us. My caprese salad was fairly good, but bland, and the gnocchi was awful, completely unseasoned & overdone. Drinks list was limited and they were out of my first two choices of wine. There are so many restaurants in the area which are vastly better, would not recommend visiting this one.
