Bunny chow was dry, hardly any curry in it. Extremely disappointed. Won't be buying there again.

I can only talk for the Samoosas; unfortunately they are not what you'd expect in shape and also not in flavour. The pastry is quite thick and very crunchy. We had the chicken flavour samoosa, also perhaps just today; but they were not fresh at all. The green "relish" is also quite hot, basically it is green crushed chillies. Also quite pricey for 4 x samoosas at R40, at the time.

Placed order via call, told it would be ready in 10min. Only to get there to find that order wasn't ready. The best part was that they gave my order to another customer who then has room bring it back. Which means or we had to wait some more.

The chicken Shahar was nice but it was not mild just bland. The mutton spinach was also bland and I found staple metals in so that our me off.

The place wasn't packed at all to warrant confusion with orders.

I've ordered here before and my mild orders were exactly what i ordered and the food was great, mild had it mild kick. This time around was really disappointing.

Abu, the gentleman at the front desk, is such an asset, super friendly guy, give that man a raise!
The food is amazing, will definitely keep going back.

Waited almost an hour for bunny chow that was mostly chili rather than curry. Do not recommend.

Today we ordered, medium spiced chicken bunny, was abit spicey but very very tasty, so order mild if u not a fan of spicey food. We will definitely be going back

A little disappointing. I expected an exceptional curry, after hearing people rave about Shamiyana for years. I asked for mild to be cautious, not knowing what to expect, but I was so disappointed at the subtle flavours with very little curry or chilli at all.

My partner introduced me to this place a few years ago and since then, I never buy my Indian food anywhere else, but at Shimayana. They not a fancy restaurant, but the service is excellent and their food is out of this world. They cook with love. If you happen to be around Edenvale you must try them out. I Lovd them?

Ordered delivery through Mr Delivery on the 21st Feb 2021 in Edenvale, one Lamb Biryani and one Lamb bunny. Found a fly in Lamb Biryani. Very upset and disappointed.

Been going here for years and always loved the butter chicken. Tonight ordered the butter chicken and butter naan. Chicken was so old and hard. Naan bread not cooked. So disappointed. Won’t be back

If it's raining hard and Voortrekker Ave is basically a river, go round the back. There is parking. The people who work here are fantastic! Don't judge it by the lack of glamour and flair, this is some of the best curry you will have had in a while. Their Garlic Naan is to die for. The food is ample and warms up very well in the oven. They package in foil so warmup is not a big job in the oven. I drive from far and wide to grab takeaway from Shamiyana.

Woow! Great food! Ordered Butter Chicken & Rice with Naan! Exceptional! Will def go one up from mild to hot to taste that extra explosion of flavour! Great job!

Shamiyana is the best place to get a proper Indian curry. They are great, the butter chicken curry is my Favourite. But lamb madrus is second best. Service is tip top

I have been going to Shamiyana since 2012 and I have loved every dish over the years. (I have tried pretty much every dish on the menu)
It has been a regular take away and eat-in for myself and my family and we will continue to support this lovely little restaurant.
The curries are so full of flavour and always made perfectly. The samosas are incredible and I absolutely love the green chutney!
The staff have always been friendly and happy to chat while you wait.

Fantastic Indian curries at reasonable prices. Worth going to even though the area is a little dodge. Good portions and range.
