Texican Eatery & Tequila Bar

Having been to Mexico and the States I'm generally pretty critical about local Mexican cuisine. To the best of my knowledge I have eaten at every Mexican restaurant in Pretoria and can say by a very long shot Texican is the best around. Their food is as close as you'll get to authentic Mexican food in SA. Portions are decent and fairly priced and the service is outstanding. I had the beef enchilada and it was absolutely amazing.

Food was good but did not stand out. No problem with Parking after most shops are closed. It is wheelchair accessible if one parks on the roof. My personal opinion is that no pub and grill can be viewed as kid friendly, but I did see a few children with their parents.

We had a wonderful meal drinks are afffordable and quality of food superb. Will make an effort to go there atleast one or twice a month. Service is impeccable and ariel (the manager) is a gem. Real cool funky guy. Vibe and all round look and feel is truly awesome. Job well done

Service was spectacular, food was to die for and the shooters and craft tequila were wildly great! Our eyes even got treated to our waitress being gifted roses for how she treated someone and it was the icing on the cake.

For a quick lunch, just the place. Friendly faces, awesome chicken salad. I have not visited other hours.

Hidden gem! Pleasantly surprised, food was really very generous, extremely good and authentic. My connoisseur son reckons it's one of his top 10!

Good food and good service in an pleasant but upbeat setting! Well worth a visit if your in the mood for some tasty mexican food and drinks.

What a surprise! Was my first time there and it was a great experience. All the staff and waiters were warm and welcoming. The food was beyond excellent (definitely in my top 10) and served at an adorable price. Will surely be back!

Good drinks, slow service for a place that isn't busy.

Paid R85 for grande nachos and it was so disappointing, no meat and barely anything on the plate.

This is a great place to go and have a drink with co-workers or your friends. Drinks are really great and affordable. Although the flavour profile of the spicy rice tastes exactly the same as the chicken on the tacos, it was still filling. Their chips though, WOW! The bacon and chives fries were to die for. Will go again for drinks and chips!

Food was not what people overall will expect when dinning at a place like this, lighting inside the place was poor also on the patio can't see were we were walking for placement without bumping into any obstical. It also made the menu hard to read.

Relaxed atmosphere, prompt and friendly service, amazing food. Their home-made sweet chilli sauce is definitely a must.

The food at this restaurant was delicious. The service was also out of this world, very friendly. We even got to have a chat with the owner, I would definitely recommend it for anyone into Mexican food, or even if you have never tried it before, this place would be a good place to start.

Awesome "American" Mexican place. Good vibe and fair pricing on most of the menu. They have a pretty impressive selection of tequila liquors as well as some proper top shelf tequila if you ready to spend over R50 a tot. Overall a good place. The only reason they did not get 5 starts is because the long Island ice tea scores a 5/10 (according to me, too much coke). I would still recommend giving it a try.
