Thava Indian Restaurant reviews
29 All 5 dishes we ordered were extremely bland, very disappointing - lack of the quintessential spicing of the different curries that make them each so amazing. In addition, had to actually ask for more chillies. At an Indian restaurant. After ordering HOT!
So, no, not for the pukka Indian, point mast to more authentic shores.
Excellent service. Brilliant food. Well laid out restaurant. Clean facilities. Perhaps look into adding a bit more light so it’s easier to read the menu? Will visit again.
A restaurant you'd want to return to. The menu is extensive and everyone from Vegans to meat eaters will have plenty to choose from. Loved the ambience, decor, sitting spacing, service and cleanliness.more non-veg options in menu than veg.food was just above par.shout-out to Richard for being a great attendant.cheers
Food was so delish. I'm so sorry I never got to take pictures. We gobbled up the food before I could take pics.
Food is great (compared to other indian restaurants). We got so disappointed with our local indian restaurants, that I drove extra distance to get food from here. While such a touch above the others, feels like something has changed (hence the 4 stars) - maybe it was just the chef's night off.
I have eaten here before and the portions and quality of food is consistent and very tasty.
The ambiance, service and whole experience Is ideal for a business or leisure outing with friends.

Not up to the mark. People who likes spicy as me. Don't go for this restaurant.
Ambience is very good.
The food was lovely, I loved the hot chicken tandoori I ordered and my boyfriend had lamb shank what whatcan't remember the name.the service was great and we had a cozy and wonderful time there.will definitely go back
Amazing Indian taste sensations.
The vegetarian options are truly delicious and very well worth ordering.
Hard to fault. Service, value and food is simply outstanding. Haven't been in ages but tonight was as good as it was when I was last there. Remarkably consistent!

Food was exceptional. Nice set up. Social distancing in place. Richard, our waiter was well mannered. You wait a little for the food, but its so worth it. Good portion sizes as well
Was feeling for a good lamb breyani and being in the area for an appointment, decided to drop in at Thava for lunch. Great set up and top notch ambience but the lamb breyani fell woefully short of my expectations. If you're used to authentic South African style breyani, then this was a very poor attempt at replicating it, after all breyani is a sequence of preparations steps that makes it so special. Here they merely threw in some not so great lamb curry in spicy rice and called it breyani! Sorry but you will find better quality and value elsewhere.
One of the best Indian restaurants around. Consistently offer great food at an affordable price.highly recommend
I am not a fan of this restaurant.
All their food in my opinion taste like coconuts- its all the same, sweet and creamy.
Whilst I love those flavours, in a curry you expect more flavour, complexity and texture.
It's like eating different named deserts, which uses the same base and calling it curry.
If you enjoy it, I'm glad you do, but for me personally, its a no.
New favorite indian restaurant. Lamb biryani and lamb jalfrezi was beautiful.
Excellent attentive service, without interrupting our experience.
Beautiful venue with good ambience and appropriate music.
Always a great place to have an excellent curry. And it’s really nice to sit there too. The prices are getting a bit steep though, which sometimes leads us elsewhere.
Very well appointed venue, with good, authentic menu, great service and well prepared food. A restaurant you'd want to return to.
Can't fault this place at all, they have such great meal options, their food is amazing, great service every time. And of course their prices for portions that can be shared are more than reasonable. If you're fan of Indian food, I'd recommend it over and over.
Visiting this restaurant again after a few years and was pleasantly surprised to to find the food as good. Love the authenticity of the venue and dishes
