I don't think there is any place in the world that would have helped me like the Foundation Clinic. Their approach, their methodologies and just the entire team.

It's not somewhere anyone wants to end u, but if you need help, this is truly where you want to be.

Thank you to the Foundation Clinic for helping me truly start to find myself again

The family sessions that I attended were invaluable on so many levels. I got to fully understand what addiction is, it's not a choice but a mental health illness that is often rooted in a trauma. I learnt how to "let go" that I could not manage my daughter and her addiction. Her journey to sobriety is her journey and my journey to recovery is mine. It was also so valuable to acknowledge the feelings I had about what had happened in a space that was safe and with other family members who were also on their journey to recovery. When we started David asked what our worst fear was and after much discussion it got to that our daughter could die. We experienced her taking an overdose at the end of 2022 and had we not done the family sessions I think that we would not have processed the whole experience as we did. It was the reality that it is her choice to live and be sober or to die and we have to be at peace with that. I have done the Recovery Coaching course and hope that in time I will have the time to complete the practical hours and be able to help other family members. It is so important that while the addict is learning to move forward in life sober the family members also need to learn how to communicate in a "new" way with the addict when they come out of the Foundation and that you all don't slip back into the "bad" ways of talking. There can't be the "should have, would have, could have" talk, it is saying we are here today and how do you move forward day by day in a healthy and growth way. My husband did attend some of the early sessions, it was COVID so sessions were on line and he couldn't "escape" them. In those few sessions he too learnt a lot about his relationship with our daughter and how he could support her in a positive way that was not enabling. Her elder sister was also at some of the on-line sessions and she too got a better understanding of what addiction is.
Out of the chaos and intense sadness we felt when our younger daughter first went to The Foundation we are a family that communicates better and is stronger together on so many levels. We are willing to have open and honest discussions that are done with compassion and understanding. We all move forward on our life journey's day by day with gratitude.

The Foundation and the team had helped me so much. I love the team and their support. And the program is incredible. Always grateful and for the family I made there.

All I can say is that this rehab is amazing, without the programme at foundation I highly recommend the outpatients programme as it's not only extremely beneficial to me but very reasonably priced. Lee Anne is fantastic also

November 2018 I complete a 5 day intensive training in Recovery Coaching with Authentic Coaching Solutions and Ubuntu Academy of Coaching & Training - U-ACT

Not knowing what to expect I started the training with an open mind and an awareness that putting myself into a learning environment is very likely to trigger my PTSD.

David Collins held a safe and supportive space, allowing a group of strangers to come together and explore the path from the depth of Addiction to a place of Wellness through Recovery Coaching. David is one of the best trainers I have ever met, authentic, empathetic and 100% aligned with his teachings and passionate to bring healing to this world
