The Goodies Restaurant

Absolutely disgusted on Tuesday morning 27 December. Everything we wanted was not available. Waited almost an hour only to discover our food still not ready even after the water advised it was on its way.

Paid R50 for the 2 bottles of water we had and left.

Certainly won't see us there again. No managers available.

Our experience here was great. It is a stunning place and the restaurant is beautiful. The food in general was delicious. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the tacos. Our waitress wasn't the best and quite slow. It was also odd because we ordered dessert and it was served in takeaway containers. However, it was some of the best Panna cotta I've had! Would definitely recommend coming here. There's also a lot of space for kids to play

The food wasn't anything to write home about. Bland. For what you get and price is abit disappointing. Waiter was efficient and nice.

Disappointing carvery, poor selection and hardly got a plate of food thanks to hardly any meat on the grill. I would recommend trying something else. Waiter however was friendly and helpful. Nice venue overall

Completely overpriced for the quality and amount of food you get. The food is almost impossible to eat. Its probably due to expired oil and ingredients. It used to be a nice place with good food. I don't recommend this place at all. A waste of time and money (update) Went back with the food to tell the manager its completely inedible. They offered to redo the order, I said yes. I've been waiting for over 40 mins for some chips, a chicken and mayo toastie and some chicken strips. Unbelievable. Horrible service, definitely not the place it used to be.

I was bitterly disappointed with this restaurant. We asked for 3 x cappuccinos with cream and they forgot the cream. We ordered a beef burger, the goodies burger (with mushroom sauce), the goodies pizza (with extra cheese and avo) and the mozambican chicken. My mother in law is highly allergic to potatoes and the chicken came with chips. We gave the waitress the instruction clearly and multiple times that the chips must please be on a separate plate and must not touch the chicken. The food arrived and the chicken was sitting on top of the chips. We asked for a new chicken and no chips. About 20 minutes later we saw the chicken being taken out of the microwave and brought to us on a new plate. The pizza was tasty but I was surprised that the avo was the bottle squeezy type and they put extra salami on instead of extra cheese. The burgers were average and the mushroom sauce tasted like blue cheese. Not impressed at all. It was sad that the waitress did not promote the carvary. There is no mention of it on the menu and we had already placed our orders by the time we saw it. When we asked our waitress why she didn't tell us about it she responded that the other server is responsible for promoting it not her. The servers definitely need more training. The food is over priced for the quality you receive.

First time at this restaurant today and the last!
We got there around 3h40 and our orders where taken. Pretty soon the staff members started packing tables and chairs loudly, they where dragging the chairs and pushing the tables and literally stacked them right infront on us as we sat and tried to enjoy our meal. I was so disturbed because it was clear that they were about to close but you always respect customers when they still trying to enjoy their meal. The kitchen staff also started running around with the writers and they where roundy and just inconsiderate of us. The lady who served us and the older gentleman also proceeded to press their phones and play music through them. My goodness this was a horrible experience!

Nice place, great scenery and location. Went here for Breakfast yesterday. Disappointing - ordered the Classique breakfast, they brought it to me on a cold plate so the eggs were already cold, the toast was only toasted on one side, not what I hoped for. The separate Bar on the other hand, is great.

I don't know where to begin on how shocking the breakfast was. No idea what a cappuccino is. The eggs benedict was served on a hanburger roll, not a properly poached egg and that sauce was defenitely not hollandaise. R110 FOR THE EGGS BENEDICT! Rather take your money elsewhere

The smell of filthy water from the pond is takes away from a otherwise decent family restuarant.

Love this place - lots of quaint shops, love the restaurant and peacocks and lovely garden goodies.

Nice food, and a warn and clean environment, a good place to go even when stressing. It will go away

There is very much to choose from. They use the fact that there is no immediate competition in the vicinity very well to have their prices as high as they want.

Great informal venue. They have a great Sunday carvery. Nice playground if you have kids. You can also shop at the nursery. Staff very friendly and helpful

Always the sweet place to be with family or yourself only for a great relaxation of mind at any given day or time. So lovely to be there always

For such a lovely setting I was expecting a much better experience in food, however, despite prices that are on the slightly higher side, there was much left to be desired. The fruit juice is not in fact pure fruit juice, but instead a concentrate blend. The schnitzel and veggies had ants in the pumpkin and the cheese sauce had a strange banana type taste to it. After complaining about this, the juice and schnitzel were removed from the bill. The pizza however was very nice, so I would suggest that from the menu, which seems to have too many options available. The staff were friendly.

So much to see.to buy.to want.and my garden, even though big, to small for everything I want to do

So we had our baby shower here on the 04 May 2019. The owner knew about it for +- 2 months. I was absolutely disgusted with what services we received.we had booked for 100 people and got three waiters and let me say that the waiters where shocking and didn't clean up the place once people where done with there drinks or food - poor service! And terrible planning! We booked 13 platters.food was dry as if had been made two days before. Clive if this is how you treat clients who spent a small fortune there then you are in the wrong business. Let me not even mention the toilet which need to be over hauled with immediate effect! Shocking! The reason why I'm giving you one star is cause I can not give you no stars because that is what you would have gotten.you need to up your game or sell your business make a choice! Please do not waste your money at this place because you will be totally dissatisfied with the outcome.

This is a cool little getaway hard to describe. The have a nice play area for the kids. Nice scenery great nursery. A nice sports bar and restaurant, all that’s missing is a little movie house and no1 would leave this place

Excellent for the whole family to enjoy something whether browsing or playing in the restaurant play area, or having a drink at the bar.
