The Grillhouse Rosebank

Great steakhouse in Rosebank with a large variety of meats. They also had plenty of vegetarian options.

The ostrich and oxtail were both delicious. It was a great place to try some traditional SA foods.

They had a large selection of wines as well as South African liquors and a lot of scotch and whiskies too.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Prices were reasonable.

Everything is clear, well done. The prices are fabulous, the food is delicious, the drinks are wonderful! Service is up to par. Prosperity to the guys. Hello from Moscow

Great place, the meat was excellent!
Just a bit noisy inside but great atmosphere overall.
The service was good but we got interrupted

300g Fillet with roast veggies + butternut. Steak was cooked very well (medium). Was tender and full of flavour.
Dessert was a condensed milk and raspberry ice cream loaf. Dessert sounds too sweet but the raspberries broke it up and it was very nice.

Absolutely world-class service. If i could ever have a restaurant, i would want it to be this style Absolutely beautiful old world, classy and elegant, reasonably priced for the service and quality of the best meat in GP province

The meats are amazing. It is one of the best steak houses where you can dine in a safe environment in Johannesburg. The prices are relatively affordable.

Good vibe and friendly service. My lamb chops were a little underdone albeit they were still delicious

Superb steakhouse in Rosebank. Great selection of items on the menu but the steaks are definitely the highlight. I had a 300gm fillet which was perfectly done in house basting sauce. Spare ribs are also superb. Highly recommended.

The fillet on the bone is a must have as well as the fresh bread they serve. One of the best Grill house locations.

One of the best places I have ever been to. The atmosphere is very extraordinary. The food was on point, really enjoyed the way we were hosted by Glenmore. The place is clean and continues to adhere to COVID-19 protocols.

The service:
When I read the reviews I thought some patrons had exaggerated the service they received. They didn't! The moment we arrived we were treated with so much respect and importance. They have the best staff who listen carefully to your requests and make very helpful suggestions/recommendations. Interestingly, all staff were male and they work together like a well oiled German machine. I generally prefer being assisted by women but I was left so impressed.
I rate the service at 7 star!

The food:
Very deliciously made and well presented. The portions are big enough. The only complaint from my side was that the basting was a lot and too salty for my liking in both my starter and my partner's. So when we ordered the main we avoided the basting.
They don't have a cocktail drinks menu but they do make the popular ones and they come out very delicious.
The prices were very ideal for an upmarket restaurant in Rosebank.

The place:
Clean with comfortable sitting and views. Soft and matured music in the background. The bathrooms are very upmarket and super clean!

One of my favorite restaurants in Joburg (There are different locations - the best are in Rosebank and Sandton). Amazing wine selection.

After numerous "this is the place for meat lovers" recommendations. The family and I reserved a table. It started out promising with great service and it ended with great service.and that's where it ended. Food was mediocre, personally think TnT a better deal.

PS: Don't order rice on the side. Your wallet will protest for weeks + beef ribs can be used in case of a flat tyre.
