Bought their mild lamb sausages after a long time and they were sour, sadly they were bought for a school function and everybody tasted them. That’s the same reason that I stopped buying their sausages.

The lamb is very tough and on average takes more than two hours to cook - quality is very poor. The same goes for the lamb sausages. These used to be excellent, however, the taste has deteriorated.

The other products i.e, samosas, spices, and snacks are great though.

Always reliable and very hygenic. The store is run really well and I commend the ownership for being super consistent.

Best quality lean meat and sausages with no fat, best value for every cent, very clean n tidy store. You can also get your fresh roti n dhal puri, picles n marinades.

Usually I buy Lemon Achar (pickle) at B. Nagiah's Fontainebleau. Today their stock wasn't that good. And we have pork chops to braai - so I took a chance - drove to Meat Boss and found the last 2 jars of Lemon Pickle (whoop whoop) as well as a Pineapple pickle! I blitzed one jar of Lemon Pickle with 1 tablespoon sugar to smoother consistency and spread it all over the 2 pork chops. It will marinade now for a few hours.

Then I spotted the sausages.interesting! Bought some Chicken Tikka sausages and Mutton sausages (mild). What a great shop!

If you want great lamb sausages, buy it here! They are fatty, cause the flames on bbq go high! And spicy! But absolutely worth it.

Not sure what's mixed in the supposed lamb mince but it smells revolting and has way too much white specs of fat! Unnecessarily expensive for poor quality meat!

Neat, clean butchery catering mainly for Indian clientele. Apart from lamb and sheep, if you enjoy marinated chops and chicken, you would find this here as well. Meat Boss also stocks Cornish, Culls, Tripe, Various cold meats, pies, samoosas etc. Their sausages are of higher quality standards compared to Nagias but not as good as Khans situated in Fordsburg. Their lamb is reasonably priced compared to othet butcheries in the area.

Visited on 04/06 around 11: 30. I waited in the queue for more than 15 minutes before being served. There was no mince or mild mutton sausage. I walked out. Come on, it is a Saturday and you run out of basics. Looks like I have to start shopping at Nagiahs. You have lost a loyal customer.

Gets really busy but the meat is really fresh. Not enough parking and ques gets really long. But not bad.

Ordinarily really great sevice but Black Friday service was very slow. The store wasn't busy either so it made no sense that it would be.

Very awesome service especially for the owner to serve himself and be so down to earth and friendly. Will definitely keep going through.

It's clean and the meat sold is good quality.

Walked in to buy biltong. Found shelves sparse on stock and no beef biltong to be seen. After enquiring from the cashier I was told they don't stock beef or beef biltong. Only sheep biltong. You would expect a shop that calls itself The Meat Boss to have beef biltong. An utter waste of time!

They have the best marinated chicken wings. But they could do with a bit more variety of Marinates. Their frozen items also seemed limited compared to their competitors, like they didn't have much frozen pies left.

Food was terrible at top hat. The bunny chow was dry and not cooked well. The old big guy behind the counter who looks like a ugly telly tubby is RUDE and has no sense of customer service. I asked for a little extra gravy on the side and was told blatantly NO he will not assist.

Always a great place to shop.best spicy sausages in johannesburg.store is clean and staff helpful. Missing though for a while has been the delicacy I crave tripe, please help, and also packing Halimas pickle is a skill, please dont pack with meat stuff, it falls, and lid not secure, car smells of pickle oil. Overall, Meat Boss is the boss.

Quality meat and sausages and they even stock fresh, UTD potatoes, tomatoes, in-season veg now which is such a value-add, i can stop at 1 place to get everything i need instead of frequenting multiple shops saving me time and energy.
