Great entertainment, friendly service, awesome burgers, all round lovely neighbourhood pub.

Great atmosphere especially when there is a big sporting event on. Food and drinks prices is average however waiter service is exceptional.

Good food, great staff and overall good vibe. Sometimes gets a tad loud with sporting events on screens but it is a pub after all. A real neighborhood locals vibe while still welcoming to all.

If you are looking for a local old school pub this is it. Absolutely stunning place! Great service and ice cold beer

Amazing atmosphere, great staff and incredible food. Visited this establishment with friend who practically live at the venue. Never a dull moment and always a great experience. The food never disappoints no matter what I order. Always tasty and filling. Portions that are well worth the price and quality that keeps you coming back for more and more. Not to mention a great drinks variety that will have something great to wash it all down with. If you’re looking for a new place to try out or a new local watering hole then you’ve found the place. A great venue with a great vibe that attracts great people. What more could you want? Definitely a 10/10 for me. Would highly recommend to anyone considering trying the venue.

I had the snails as a starter and wanted nothing else after that coz it was AMAZING. We ordered chicken strip and chips and they were succulent and soft. One of the best chicken strips I have come across. Food is affordable, drinks are affordable. Welcoming environment too. I'll definitely be back. Compliments to the chef and to the waiter who was also very efficient

Awesome pub. Incredibly friendly and fun. I recommend visiting for a Springbok match or the free Thursday night quiz (7pm)! Food is good, staff are fantastic.

Good time everytime. Chilled with an awesome vibe. Pool Table is a great way to have some fun and their FOOD is always absolutely yummy and reasonable. Steaks are amazing and they have awesome specials. Thank you Sundowner and staff your friendliness and great service is hard to beat. See you soon

Great pub! 10am opening time with good selection of breakfast items. Main menu superb. Live entertainment and plenty of for sport. Staff quality!

What a blast!
Came for lunch and stayed for the band. (Jasper Dan). Small venue that only accommodates about 50 people in the band room and probably damaged my hearing in a good way.
Crowd were mostly locals and had great fun.
Jasper Dan were phenomenal. Definitely a top class act.

Vibe was great and food delicious! The waiter was crazy busy, but looked after us and the Manager was Super on the ball. He made sure we had what we needed

Went to get takeout for a change instead of traditional places one goes to, absolutely great had a beer while waiting, my waiter went out of his way to get a bag from shop next door as I had to walk back home

Try their Thursday game night, it's addictive. Have friends, food and drinks served by friendly waiter. I've watched rugby matches there as well

I am so unimpressed! It needs serious attention on maintenance! I've seen better public toilets in JHB CBD! Service attention is next to Nil. You have to ask for service every time, it's not given. You better off just going to the bar yourself to get another drink. Even that takes time, because either the bartender is too busy on their phone or they too busy socialising with other staff to attend to customers. The staff are too complacent and have absolutely no sense of urgency! Their food is actually not bad and very well priced. But, the service delivery is lacking. I worry about the hygiene and general kitchen protocols like food temperature controls, stock control, cross contamination, clean working areas, washing of hands, masks being worn ect.because there are absolutely NO Covid protocols in place in the FOH. Overall its REALLY not what I expected! Especially when it is located in an area where the residents have money. It is more like an Old Man's pub that lacks character, service and atmosphere. They have definitely dropped the ball and you can feel it the second you walk in.

Great place to come together with friends, lots of TVs to what the game on, have great food, friendly service.

They just added Pizzas to their menu and I gave them a try. 10/10! The crust was thin and well cooked, not too much topping, delicious tomato base. DELICIOUS! (OK I took a photo of my son's pizza as I finished mine too quickly!)

Good value food and drinks, more a bar with food then a true restaurant. Pleasant outdoor seating, the inside is a basic, but clean.
Lots of off road parking.

Great Vibes and very Reasonable food and drink prices! Would definitely recommend their 200g Steak, chips and Onion rings

So good to be back here. Whenever I visit from Cape Town, I make sure that I visit the pub. Good service, good food, lots of TV's to watch sport.
