The Turkish Table reviews
22A young Turkish man who has lived in RSA for 21 years is in the kitchen. I assume he is the owner as well. The food is of a high standard. Reasonably priced and good portions. The atmosphere is ok but I think with more people it could become quite festive. Plenty parking and wheel chair friendly. Will certainly return. No liquor license, though, so take your own.
Second time we got to the restaurant and the food was not "prepared". Their cellphone number was off so we could not confirm. Drove from Irene to their premises today just to be informed only the chicken was ready. I honestly dont see them lasting much longer. Which will be sad as their food is so good.
This used to be a great turkish served food restuarant halaal.
But now its not anymore now its just a bar.
Dissapointing.
We enjoyed our meal. The starter and main meal were outstanding, however there was no apple tea and the dessert we wanted was sold out.
Doesn't matter what time I order on Uber eats, it's always canceled because they don't have the items. I would suggest removing your restaurant from the app.
My family and I have been staunch supporters of the Turkish Table and have always enjoyed their food, especially the large mixed grill. UNTIL today, as usual I ordered the large mixed grill but what I received was 2 containers where everything was burnt to a crisp, everything was so spicy that we could barely enjoy the food and to top it off the lamb chops that is part of the dish was not there with no replacement even though the price has not been adjusted.needless to say this has been the last time we will support this business as standards this low is unacceptable.
It's a pity as we really enjoy turkish food
Many items on the menu were not available but in these economic times that kind of makes sense. Food was great.
The food was nice, but a bit heavily priced, many other restaurants that are cheaper and better.
We had my moms 60th lunch here. The Turkish Table is quite the hidden gem in Duncan Yard in Hatfield, Pretoria. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. The food was amazing. Perfect for a chilled Sunday lunch. Pop in if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed.
Sad mood and decor but the food is authentic, and the portions are huge. Tip: Order a jug of water as service tends to be strained.
I was search for a long time for a Turkish Restaurant and I finally found it!
The Food is great, with a fabulous taste with each bite you take.
The Staff are friendly and the service was great. Value for your Money as well. You can choose to sit down or take away that is great.
See you soon.
A combination of passion and kindness, this place is wonderful. The owner makes you feel welcome and the meals here are great and well priced!
Nice little Turkish restaurant with good quality food and very good prices.
If you want to try something different then I would recommend you eating here.
They also do authentic apple tea for R10.
Service was top as the waiter knew the food items and unavailable items.
Food was a good new experience and well priced. The turkish black tea was to me the ultimate end to the evening.just delicious!
Went there a few weeks ago. The food is delicious and servings are generous. It would be nice of they added more drinks and desserts onto the menu.
Felt very sad that the lentil soup I chose what completely tasteless. It was thin, lacking any flavour or goodness. I might as well have been eating gruel for all the taste it had. The ezme (tomato, cucumber and chilli) was tasty and the bread was delicious, but the waitresses really let the place down. Very uninterested, too busy talking and playing on their phones.
We were there Sat morning our first time so glad we made the effort to find them as they moved around the corner - just loved the food shish kabab and beef kebabs - turkish coffe - the most amazing fresh orange juice - real food and tasty cant wait to try out more keep up the good work
My absolutely favourite restaurant which serves delectable Turkish cuisine! A must for all the food lovers!
Menu is hostile to vegetarians and vegans. A cold wrap with raw salad vegetables is the sole offering. No sign of standard Turkish fare such as dolmades, sirma, artichokes, veg pide, veg casserole and Turkish grilled vegetables. Meat centred menu with no healthy options.
