I had my birthday dinner there, and both the food and service was excellent. I would recommend it to anyone.

Great atmosphere and Great food. Service was not 100% up to standard today but still very good.

We have been frequenting The Village Bistro for years, which is one of our favourite restaurants.

Our last few visits (perhaps 5) have been plagued with poor service.

Last night I had to stand up and walk to my waitress to ask for a drink, she apologised and later noted that she had 10 tables at one point. This is far too many for any waiter to manage who has to prepare drinks for their tables as well.

We have been tolerant with the declining service levels due to the excellent food, but when our favourite dish, the fillet cordon blu, arrived over cooked, with very little sauce topping and almost no filling, we were taken aback. The waiter had to return to the kitchen to fetch more sauce and my fiancé couldn’t finish hers as the fillet was cooked too dry.

The restaurant also keep serving drafts that doesn’t have enough co2. I spoke to the manager and the owner about the issue, who noted that they have an issue with the beer supplier, who installed the system. Since the refurbishment, the beer remain rather gas less.

We love this restaurant but if the service levels and food quality continues te decline it won’t be worth visiting going forward.

We were very surprised at just how big this little bistro is. The pizza was good & the prices are really good too! The menu has a great variety to choose from. We will definitely be visiting more.

This place is pathetic, they take booking and then when you arrive for your reservation to find the place closed.

The food is really good. Service is great, but the location for me is not great. This place has so much potential, but it feels stuck somewhere in the eighties. Also, the outside sitting area is part of the walkway, and next to the parking lot. You can not just relax as you feel that you want to check around you all the time. It is not that bad that you do not want to visit the place, it is just not very nice. Having said that, the food is really good, and if they ever are able to upgrade the place, where you have a nice table to dine at, inside and outside, where you feel safe and relaxed, we will definitely visit often.

The local go to bistro. Consistently good quality meals in a lovely rustic Italian atmosphere. Oso Buco is real value for money meal. Pizzas very good. Safe off street parking and generator back up during load shedding. Solid option any time and event

Bad night at one of our favourite spots. We have been coming to the Village Bistro for years when we are in Pretoria.
The mushroom starter was delicious but the Halloumi was soggy, bland and not good.
My Carbonara was gloupy, tasteless and luke warm. My husband's lamb pizza was cold and bland as well. Which was disappointing as we waited between courses for more than an hour.

Amazing! Such a great experience and service along with the most delicious pizza's around. Highly recommended!

This place is a hidden gem. Not only do they provide a great dining experience. The setting values a great experience with family, friends or even just a lovely date night with your other half.

Food was absolutely amazing, I loved the lamb shank and the chocolate cake was amazing. To drink we had the sangria, it was just divine. The best place to sit even on a cold night is in the back of the restaurant which was closed with weather proof blinds and had heaters. Because the space is outside and there aren’t too many people it was very easy to converse with each other and they even had a live singer who sang songs throughout the time we were there. So was absolutely great from food to the atmosphere.

Our waiter Brenda, was so terrible! She looked tired and didn't feel like serving us? ‍? ‍. She never came to ask if we're happy with the food and was extremely unfriendly!

Whenever we would visit your restourant. NO BRENDA please! She was horrible!
