Viva Vita Family Restaurant

I've ranked it low on atmosphere, because my husband and I were the only ones there! It's a large restaurant, with a large menu. As a retired business person, I think that the menu could be halved. Eddie and I love to eat out, and we have been to plenty of top class restaurants, who have menu's half the size of Viva Vita's! (Or even smaller.) It must entail freezers full of foodstuffs which may be getting old. And regular visits to the fresh food markets. Viva Vita, I suggest that you rethink your system. Perhaps offer daily (or weekly) specials, with hand written menu's, which reflect what was fresh at the market, and inspired the chef? Actually, it would be easy to quickly type up a fresh menu on the computer. With a pretty font, please. I could do it for you, perhaps (hmmm.perhaps just for a while).

Amazing food, great vibes. They also do take away just phone ahead to avoid a long wait. They also provide gluten free options. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a date night or a family dinner.

Always have a lovely time here. Staff and owners are super friendly, delicious food & not badly priced. Intimate dining area, casual dining area and outside dining overlooking the kiddies play area.

A true family restaurant! A large play area for kids, easily accessible and visible to parents, strict control of smokers in a friendly way, a generally relaxed, customer oriented approach. An adaptable, customer driven menu! Highly recommended!

I’ve been to this place my whole life we all were friends and a basically grew up there. It was amazing the food aswel. Around about 2020 before lock down new owners came in they were so rude, even to the workers and they did nothing wrong. The plates where chipped and this manager just had an attitude problem. Last year we tried it again and let me say the new management there made very sure to give us a horrible time we had problems with the food and she was very rude. I’m very upset to see a place I grew up with going downhill like this. You had your chance.

Friendly staff and fresh food. However, the prices are absolutely crazy for the small portions and simplicity of the food. If only the prices where more realistic I think this place could be a gem! Lazurus was a great waiter.

Pleasant, no frills restaurant. Menu is fine, but slightly pricey. We were a table of ten the service was great.

The pizza was amazing. Everyone liked the food. There is also a nice play area for the children.

Unpleasant experience, booked with a party of about 20 and we were essentially pushed to order or leave the restaurant, something along the lines of "Seems you're struggling to pay, you can leave the restaurant". The manager proceeded to order on our behalf which sparked a heated argument ended with the waiter when it was time to settle the bill.

If you're looking for a warm ambiance and a generally awesome place to have a nice meal with family or friends. This is the place for you. Totally worth the drive from anywhere in Gauteng

Good food. Not badly priced. Excellent staff both friendly and attentive. Never had to look for our waitress.

They have a play area for kids with sand and a jungle gym, the food was delicious and the service was great, loved the big clay pizza oven

One of those truly rare gems! Really enjoyable and worth the wait to get a reservation. More than decent quality food and a wide variety, somewhat above average prices but through and through worth it. Service with a smile and owner managed / supervised (which definitely makes the positive difference!) Easily the best we've been to in the past couple of years. Well done to the owners.
