Restaurant Bellevue Cafe reviews
41The dinner and dessert were very disappointing and have led to symptoms of food poisoning.
A regular spot for me when I want a good breakfast. The Eggs Benedict are usually very good, they get the flavours just right. However, their Bellevue breakfast is just a great way to start the day with a green juice. They also host activities which we did for my cousins after wedding activities and it has a wonderful set menu and opened up the space for dancing. Was really good. Their quality never fails.
Great and cozy cafe. Had a delicious breakfast on a rainy morning and would definitely recommend. Thank you for the great service.
It looks like a very nice cosy place to dine in, only problem was the kitchen closing early & the place closing at 10PM. Otherwise I'l definitely be coming back
Awesome Atmosphere and knowledgeable service from Waitron. Great Ambience in eatery. Well done
Fish and chips were awful. The fish REAKED of the ocean, the chips were undercooked. The pasta was undercooked, hard and rubbery and the ingredients were just thrown on top and there was hardly any sauce. Absolutely foul. Each meal came to R167 but was worth R20 max. Absolutely putrid. Won’t be back.
We love it. It's a bit pricey but the service is always on point as well as the food.
Just visited a great spot in Kloof that seriously knows its coffee. The service was speedy and welcoming, and the place is a definite notch above most other breakfast options in town.
I tried their breakfast - the avocado on toast. The balsamic glaze wasn't my thing, kind of overpowered the dish. But I'll give them this, the ingredients were fresh and the plate was in front of me in no time.
What really caught my eye was their wine list - it's huge! This place could easily double as a perfect spot for a relaxed evening out. So despite the breakfast hiccup, I'd say give it a try. The coffee alone is worth it.out.
Lovely place - nice outdoorsy feel. Would definitely go again. Food was great and service was excellent.
My husband and I had Sunday lunch at Bellevue. I had the calamari. My husband had the paella. Both very underseasoned and almost tasteless. The only dessert options are cake or cake. The cocktails were good. The setting is not bad but there is no view to speak of. Service average. No parking except on the street. My one bit of excitement when I saw a potential to shop at the adjoining store was killed upon seeing the over R1000 price tag on a bagged tree. All in all average and not for a repeat visit.
Had a lovely meal. Fish and veges. Good and fairly reasonably priced. Great Chai latte.
Service was excellent. Felt well cared for. Good company also helps.
I loved the vibe and atmosphere defs going back there. It is quite nice and quaintly picturesque.
The service here was horrible, didn't enjoy the food as much as I did last time I visited them. Not sure what has changed.
Always a treat, whether popping in for coffee or eating a meal. Beautiful setting and interesting food options. Always a very nice and welcoming vibe and delicious food. Lovely atmosphere whether for a business lunch or a romantic dinner. Their cocktails are worthy of being included on the list and worth a mention. Have to also give a special shout-out to Collen who looked after us from start to finish. Very special man!
Good atmosphere and well mannered staff. Very helpful and food was good. Except that my wife ordered a medium steak and got a well done one but overall very good
If you might think the reasonably priced menu is expensive, wait till you see what your plate looks like.it's huge. I had to take a take-away. Very tasty food and friendly staff
A most disappointing experience. We went up the hill from Westville to an old favorite from days pre covid only to be shocked by absolutely mediocre food. Asian flavors were absent where promised, duck spring rolls had more pastry than filling and where bland in taste. The pizza was OK but the Asian chicken was dry and also pretty tasteless. With a view into the kitchen, the lack of finesse with which plating was being handled left lots to be desired. We were cursorily asked once if we OK by a manager. All in all the best part of the evening was the vondeling merlot in an altogether overcrowded rushed off their feet fast food diner experience.
Good food. Great ambiance. Friendly serving staff.
However food takes somtime to be served so if you you want a quick bite this is not the place for you. If want to chill and relax then it is the place for you.
Absolutely fantastic.from the minute we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The menu for all meal times is comprehensive and rhe pricing fair and reasonable. Has a great ambiance and the food was excellent. Will for sure not be my last visit and recommend you try this eatery.
