Bierfassl Restaurant and Pub reviews
37We absolutely love coming here on the weekend for a pub lunch, food is amazing, has such a great happy vibe aswell.
Fastest I've ever been seated and served ever. Food was awesome and the drinks were even better. Very cosy feel and the waitress was awesome.
We arrived this morning in Loadshedding, ordered our food. The waiter explained that they cant make toast, no problem, we understood this. But when the food arrived the waiter got my order all wrong, not the right food and drenched in a tamoto relish after I explained I do not want cheese sauce, did not ask if I wanted any other sauce just decided by himself. When I started eating it was the wrong filling in the pancakes aswell. My husband has finished his food and I am still waiting for mine.
Service was very slow. Food was tasty, but I wouldn't return for another visit in a hurry
Great food, ambience, service; and a wide variety of delicious locally crafted & imported beers.
Made reservations on what's up. Got confirmation but ON arrival there was no such reservation? Some one slipped up. Nevertheless we all sat down at a 8 seater which we needed.
We had a delightful small stop at Bierfassl. We were greeted by very friendly staff who were also very helpful as to what’s best to order. We tried the 8 x 150ml beer tasters and they were all delicious with a side snack of salami and a pretzel. I would highly recommend popping in and trying their food as it looked delicious.
Definitely the best eishbein around! Would be great if they had more chicken and veg options.
Excellent food, good value for money. Entertainment for all. Service could have been a bit more quicker, but overall friendly staff.
You should always have the Eisbein when you go to Bierfassl, it's the best, remember to book if possible as you might have a long wait for a table for lunch on a fabulous day, the breakfast run bikers are a regular feature (local flavour) as are the Mountain Bikers after they've finished their rides and of course the Midlands Meanderers on a Saturday or Sunday. Get the Eisbein, never mind that it's always too much, get a doggie bag to enjoy the rest of it at home! Yummy, lovely food, boutique gins and small brewery drafts and beers all available to whet your appetite and your whistle! Nom nom nom.
Good-to-know: quite a few restaurants in the area are closed on Tuesdays, but Bierfassl is open, and this is how we ended up here for an unexpectedly lovely dinner. The atmosphere is easygoing and the restaurant is cozy without being cramped. Have a seat on the deck for a quiet (but not too quiet) outdoor dinner, and DO treat yourself to a beer tasting pallet! The pretzel-crusted wild boar chops is delicious, and a good size for a small-to-reasonable dinner. Try the rosti as alternative to fries - worth it!
Food was Devine. Very wholesome and freshly prepared. Wait time for food is around 40-50min which is understandable. Cozy feel to the restaurant with a fireplace which is nice when its cold out. Service was slow and not very accommodating
Bierfassl Restaurant and Pub is a MUST stop when travelling through the Midlands! The food is always fantastic and the selection of beers is nothing short of perfect. The outdoor seating is wonderful for enjoying a sunny afternoon, overlooking the meadows, or while watching the children play on the nearby playsets. Parking is well maintained with plenty of shade. Inside is an ideal pub n grub style area, with plenty of seating for a cosy breakfast, lunch or dinner. The area in which its situated - although undergoing plenty of new development, is lush and green with vast, open spaces. A far more scenic and pleasurable drive than the highway which is usually clogged with traffic and monstrous trucks and lawless taxis. Accommodation is now plentiful in the area and should be considered for a short getaway at reasonable prices and not quite as far as the coastal towns which are usually packed during school holidays.
Excellent spot, when in doubt ALWAYS have the Eisbein! Yummy. Always done to perfection, make sure you take a doggy bag home because you won't finish it. You might have to book on popular Sundays as everyone from the Breakfast Run Motorcyclists to the guy's finishing a fabulous ride on their mountain bikes everyone comes for the Eisbein!
Totally blown away by this pub and it's grub. It's really nothing much in the way of decor and modern trend but definitely worth the visit if you're a foody and a fan of hearty wholesome meals.
Awesome and delicious food. Very nice place. A definite must stop and eat in Nottingham road. Love this restaurant.
Always our go to lunch restaurant when in the midlands. The vibe is cozy and welcoming, no matter what the weather. We love the eisbein and really enjoyed their beer and gin tasting boards. Definitely a winner.
A great pub. Very accommodating especially when busy. Delicious food and drinks. And well priced. Definitely worth the drive.
