Gallop cafe

Poor service, waitresses serving us with no smile and their uniform make them as if they never took a bath they should be trained on how to make customers happy.

My mother and I went to the Gallop Café as we aren't from Estcourt and were recommended to the place by a friend. We were sat next to the animal farm away from the main building itself as they had booking only in the main building. We ordered our food at 12: 45pm and received our drinks at 12: 59am (I know the exact times coz I was taking pics of my mom and we had time stamps to prove this). We waited for our food until 1: 35pm and thereafter decided to leave due to the poor service provided. We saw people who got there after us get their food, finish eating, order dessert and receive their dessert while we waited. The poor service might be due to the fact that the owners kids (under the age of 16) were working as our servers.

Will not be going back. Don't recommend, unfortunately.
I hope this was a one-time slip-up on their part, honestly and if not, I hope they make some improvements.

Please note: They did give us our drinks for free after we made them aware of the situation and were choosing to leave.

If you are looking for a good place to dine, drive up to the Waffle Hut instead. You'll get more than your money's worth!

The place is beautiful and an amazing spot to go with kids. The food is also nice but the service is honestly not great. The waitress barely gave us any attention and it was appalling because the spot was empty when we arrived. Other than the service, the overall ambience was nice.

Don't go on a Friday for lunch.they are closed over lunchtime. We went back on another day. The waffles were good, fresh, deep and crispy We were a bit upset by the state of the horses though. They didn't look very healthy. The children enjoyed the jungle gym but it needs some shade.

One of the places you got to go to when around Estcourt and the food is not even that expensive ️️️

Best Cafe in the midlands, there is so much to do like ride horses, play with goats and rabbits, and the food is amazing.

Gave us a menu that was already written on, waitresses lacked professionalism, the chips and chicken was very tasty but the pasta with prawns was opposite, I just hope they teach they waitresses how to properly treat their customers (they were not rude, they were just not welcoming and helpful).

Food was divine, most delicious burger I've had in a long while as well there mix grill is definite hit steak cooked to perfection. Lovely scenery and amazing vibe.

Scenic, peaceful and it is perfect for small children to play. Food is delicious with a variety of options.

Lovely environment however the service sucks and we hadn't visited at a busy time. We received our starters after dessert, we had dirty crockery after waiting for a long period of time after having been served our waffles without crockery to eat. The Mocktails were nothing fancy either, I had nothing in mine beside Cordial and lemonade.
It's a great development for Estcourt and I'm definitely one for supporting local small businesses however they definitely need to up their service. Waffles were good, would have been better with clean crockery and better service delivery though.
