You guys need to stop selling left overs from the day before, your food is nice but don't undermines peoples intelligence because of being African.

Still the best value for money - been with the Goundens since the early days.
I'm not getting into the taste debate, lest I lose some of my mates.
The chip chow is an unbelievable innovation - chips in a bunny chow with a gravy of choice.
Gonna try the dessert one day.

My wife and I went for a curry lunch and we were very impressed with the meals and the cold beer, the place was very busy and had the buzz, most importantly the service was good and the cost was very affordable

Younger son nd I had lunch.broad beans with Mutton gravy.chip cheese roti with Mutton gravy.food was hot fresh and tasty.for busy days they may consider extra waitresses.

Worked in Maydon Wharf and Gounden food used to be our regular take out. All meals prepared just the way my mum used to make. Looking n liking, yummy. Hope they can open a branch in Jhb

The taste of the curry is very average hence the bunnie taste and flavour is not there needs alot of attention

Very tasty bunny! However i was abit disappointed with the service as the waiter knew the bread was broken at the bottom and i asked for extra gravy. I got charged for the extra gravy but never got it. So the sit down bunny was horrible.

However i ordered a takeaway as well and yasis that was probably the best bunny i tasted!

I have been going to Goundens since it opened God knows how long ago some times 2 times a week, the take aways are as good as the restaurant, today I am trying there new item on the menu the crab curry, oh boy, this if you like crab way past any I have tasted it is good.

Curries are the best, but the guy that takes the orders is even more impressive. How does he remember all the orders without writing a thing down.even when the store is full

Never a dull day at goundens.this little take away is always busy not only for the range of Indian cuisine available but also coz the food is always consistent and fresh!

Not sure what to say here because the last time I got Cornish it was delicious, this time it tasted like it was Cornish and other chicken a bit disappointing because I did order it the day before.

Place is busy and food is average to good.difficult to get waiters attention. Prefer the takeaway to sit down.

Food is great, service is good and efficient. Value for money and very popular with all race groups who enjoy a good curry. The gentleman who served me is on top of his game, despite so many customers could remember who ordered what and only collected the money from you after he let you have your order. I'll recommend this place for a good Indian curry anytime.

I had a fantastic curry here a few years ago. Popped past today and was highly disappointed. Not only do they ONLY accept cash (who carries cash?) but the lady behind the counter ignored my wife and I completely after trying to get her attention multiple times. We walked out and I doubt we will EVER return after being treated so rudely!

Food is amazing and consistent. How ever they definitely making alot of money they crazy busy. They can clean up the place abit. It's seriously old and old fashioned. Put some porcelain tiles. And for years the card machine is broken. Someone from the bank please help them lol

One of the highlights of my recent trip to KZN. Mutton bunnie chow is an absolute must, the quality of ingredients is top notch. Definitely worth your while.

Good day, I have always bought bunnies from your restaurant and takeaway. Today I bought 2 x 1/4 mutton bunnies. Not a nice thing to say but I was one of the worst bunnies I have ever tasted. Your standards and food was of excelent quality before but after today I don't think that I will be comming back to support your place again.

This is the best place, I've been coming here for years and the service and food quality has never once changed. I'm addicted, I wont go anywhere else for a bunny, curry, briyani, anything!
