Jaipur Palace Restaurant reviews
36 Lovely ambience
Food was buffet had so much variety.
Went for work function was awesome
Delicious food, wide variety and an added bonus was the Staff, they were amazing, very bubbly and helpful.
Used to be a must visit Indian buffet. Over the years the menu has remained mediocre but food is tasty nonetheless. The place needs a revamp as the interior design looks dull but covid has left a dent to many businesses like this. For R179 eat as much as you like you can make the most out of your money.
Great food, great variety and brilliant service. A lot better value for money than another popular Durban beachfront establishment offering Sunday Buffet lunches. Some building and decor refurbishments coupled with a change in background music would make Jaipur Palace a 5 star dining establishment.
Delicious, authentic Indian food. Friendly and efficient staff.
COVID regulations strictly adhered to
Buffet has a wide range of delicious starters, mains and desserts.
Service was excellent.
Very good buffet that caters to all. I am not vegetarian but really enjoyed the non-meat dishes. Tasty variety of dishes. Good value for money
My first visit got me hooked for life. As a white Cape Townian, I was deprived of these enchanting dishes and ambience. Always go back for more.
Place was highly recommended by our Uber driver. So on our last day in Durbs, we made an early morning stop here before a long drive back to Jhb.
I mean, we were in Durban, the capital city of India and I wanted an Indian food experience that would wipe out all my horrible 'Food Inn India' episodes and banish them to the dungeons of mediocrity. Sadly. It would not be so.
We were their first customers that morning and, understandably (?), some of their dishes hadn't been prepared yet. I wanted a biryani but that wasn't ready yet so I settled for a mutton curry.
The food was served on something similar to a tray used by inmates in a high security penitentiary. The rice and curry were in 2 separate polystyrene 'bowls'. So I asked for a plate and was told that the C-Max metal tray was my 'plate'. Pair that with plastic cutlery and. //sigh//
Anyway.the curry wasn't amazing. I wanted my tastebuds to be shattered but nothing. Nothing at all. It was spicy, and cooked alright but I wanted a ground-breaking curry- not something I could cook myself in my Hart pots.
Wide variety of foods.good service from waiters. Missing star as certain meat dishes had a funny taste like mutton kebabs in chutney, mutton breyani.mutton mince filled pastry starter.i feel it lacked ginger garlic, spices etc.
Buffet - most of the dishes were half empty, & were not topped up. They were not hot, but rather cold, NOT RECCOMMENDED! Wont visit this restuarant again! Buffet is expensive. Not a good place to dine.management no where to be seen. 1/10. The Palace must jack up, or close down. RIP off!
Great Indian food. A la carte, and extensive buffet with many choices for vegetarians too. Lots of parking. Conveniently located in Durban North, near Hypermarket. You can also hire a function room for a birthday party or even for a reception. Great friendly service.
Many curries and options at the buffet but lacking in great taste. Put a special effort in 4 or 5 of the dishes that will make up for the others and ppl will appreciate it. We understand that the buffet is s lot of work for the chefs but stand out from every other buffet that has 100 dishes and all of them are just average.
Its very yum yum the curry that makes your fingers yellow.dont make the same mistake i made and go just after youdo your nails
Authentic Indian buffet with a wide range of curries and grills. The price is affordable and the family old and young enjoy the delicious variety they have to offer. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is also a bar for those who like to have a drink before they dig in to all that deliciousness. This is one of those you just cant judge by its cover.you gotta try it for yourself.
