Thier pan fried Steaks are unmatched in Durban, discreetly tucked away within the Avondale Spar shopping complex. Its a must try for steak lovers.

Joops Palace is a place to go I would recommend it anytime as I love to criticize food lol. The steak was prepared even better than Spur. Ash the waiter was very good with ther service and product knowledge. If you love steak book and go on Thursday for the 1.2kg Tomahawk steak and for an additional R50 you can share with your partner. R350 gets you a steak and a bottler of wine and a side. I'm going there again.
Excellent waiter service. Entertained us thoroughly with her knowledge of the menu.
Amazing food.
Atmosphere was nice, just aircon was switched of for another table which created a bit of discomfort.

My Family and I (10 in total) visited Joop's Place on Sunday to celebrate my nephew's birthday. What an amazing experience. The venue parking was so convenient and safe - the atmosphere was perfect. The waitron was just brilliant - funny/accommodating/friendly. The owner and his wife continually checked up on their customers and even ensured our meals were done to perfection. And perfection it was - we had an array of options and each of our meals was not only extremely delicious (major complements to the chef) - but well presented and well sized portions (we waiting a little longer than expected - but who can rush perfection). We had my elderly parents with us and the care and comfort given to them was so heartwarming - so much so that the restaurant provided towels to place on the chair to ensure my dad was more comfortable - as the chairs were of the normal restaurant type which he was not used to. Thank you to the Joops Family - highly recommended to anyone - and well worth the 5 stars.
Love the steaks and ribs. MOTHERS DAY lunch. Bit delayed with the order. Restaurant was busy. Management always checking on the patrons. I have previously tried the 800gTBone. Was definitely Impressed and really enjoyed. This visit, I had the 1.2kg Tomahawk steak. Done to my specific request and really tasty. Too much, even for me, Doggy bag for leftovers. Please make reservations. Always busy cos of the great food and service
