Fantastic Food and Service.
Been going there since I started dating 1998. We all love our seafood.
Although I booked a bit late for New Years Eve Gerhard still accommodated. Awesome Team at this Establishment

The food was amazing. My son was allowed to buy food outside a different restaurant and enjoy the food at the premises. The waiter was exceptional, very warm welcoming. I will definitely be returning on my visit to Umhlanga

The guy that served us was so rude we waited for 1hr before being served after we ordered and even after that he refused to apologize and despite giving him 18% tip way more than he deserved he did not even say thank you. Rather he walked away insultingly. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I ordered an Alfredo for take away and was horrified when I got home and saw they used chicken piling instead of ham. It was spongy and didn’t at all taste like ham. I called in immediately to complain to the manager and wanted to bring it back. He insisted it was ham and was absolutely not helpful.

Place to enjoy the tasty seafood of great quality. The ambiance is excellent, the restaurant has beautiful fish tank that is refreshing to tankers.

Service is great and the servers are kind and professional. Highly recommend.

Having walked out of the Bellezar on the promenade because clearly we were an inconvenience to the staff who couldn't be bothered to serve us after 20 minutes (and that's not the worst of it - read some of their reviews if you are considering going there - then go somewhere else!) we ended up going into the Lord Prawn. Kyle was a superb, professional and attentive waiter. The food - fish cakes starter, hake and chips and prawn curry - was really excellent and the Boschendal Blanc et Noir rose wine was a perfect accompaniment. A friendly atmosphere, linen tablecloths and napkins and all very reasonably priced for a proper restaurant. They have been in business, with the same ownership, for 46 years, and it shows. They know what they are doing and take pride in their work. We shall definitely go there again.

Lord Pawn was really devine. It was my first time going there as I am from Johannesburg and it was recommended by a friend.
The service was great, the pawns were amazing and just a good time!

Food soooo good!

Portion sizes are good. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Can let them know if celebrating a Birthday will make the table a little special with confetti and a small sign.

Has outdoor seating as well. So can enjoy the sea breeze if you want to.

Overall a Lovely experience

The best fish dishes we have had for very long time. Can't fault it on there food and very good portions.
Constructive criticism thou is that the service could be improved. Never really saw Musa, he was the person you place your food order with. Elton was better prepared than Musa. Always had to try find him. Will try it again just for the food and no other reason. Could inform customers that a % of gratitude is already add to the bill as well beforehand

Waiter went out of his way for us. I had a platter for one. Added lobster. Quick service as they have a separate Waiter for drinks. This is quite a popular place. Oysters were amazing and on special. Great pricing for excellent seafood. LOVED IT. 100 STARS. Love the waiters for the real affort. Tip was included on the bill.

Absolutely incredible, food was amazing and service on point, will certainly be back on our next trip to Durban.

Excellent food
Not the fastest service here, but the authentic sea food and generous portions makes up for it.

This was a sudden idea since it was our first time in Durban. They were so helpful, they normally do bookings but made sure to give us a table. The place is a cozy setting, best seafood ever. Definitely go back there.

Definitely my wife's favorite seafood restaurant. I love it too.

Best Prawns in Dbn for sure

Wonderfull.the service was friendly and helpful. When you go there, you must say hallo to the owner Gerhard he is a loveble bear. 4 legged friends are allowed.the good is amazing, very well and reasonably priced. The cocktails are amazing.the restrooms are clean.they always have cold beers and delicious food.very well organized.

First time there ordering a 'take away' and it was good. Portions should be more generous esp Calamari. Haven't been dinning seafood in Durban prior to this but compared to EC and CT it's pricey. The R600 family platter can't be for more than 3x adults. Overall it wasn't bad and this place has a history to tell considering the establishment age. Thanks to the gentleman who helped.

If you want to indulge in some fresh seafood be it a thick lobster, juicy prawns or fresh oysters then Lord Prawns is the place to be. Super delicious, fresh and yes perfect grills. The staff are friendly and the hospitality is excellent. I would recommend the grills it's perfect and even a good piece of steak was done to perfection. Bon appetite. Perfect dining for birthdays and any occasion.

Delicious seafood we had, I like the fact that your food is brought to you by the Chef. So refreshing to experience his passion for food. Very friendly waiters.
