29This is my second visit to ocean basket and yeah it just simply mouth watering. Its mainly famous for ocean food. The Hake fish was really good and sausage with JD pawans was literally good. Overall I can rate 4.5/5. If u are a sea food lover u must visit for sure.

4 Ordered oysters. It took long to get to me. Finally gets to me as if it was from the microwave. So now I've eaten an oyster that I'm afraid I'll get ill. I'm absolutely disgusted

Delightful, refreshing calm and quiet for your plus one. If I could grab a blanket and sleep I would. Different branch but same customer services experienced, learnt how to eat with a chopstick. If you not eating at OB then what you doing

Please don't go on a rainy day. You can't sit in the outside area and enjoy the view. Friendly staff. We didn't haven't to wait long for the food. I enjoyed the palette.

Chocolate lava cake was very disappointing.
I get the lava cake and it's still cold with the chocolate on the inside still hard. I asked them to make it abit warmer, and it comes back collapsed all over the plate. I was then advised that they don't make it too warm because this happens. Why wasn't I told this before the waiter took it to warm it. Also how are you calling it a lava cake if it's not even warm and chocolate is not melted on the inside?
Swift service, even though restaurant was super busy. Nathi was waiter, great service.
Sushi was fresh and made perfect.
Also had the New panko prawn cakes, which is amazing.
We have tried other ocean baskets in durban with very disappointing results. Still wanting to try to have fish we came across the usaka branch and was very hesitate on trying it. After lots of convincing we did try it, this was because of our past experiences with other branches.
Very Happy to say that the food and presentation was in a totally different league to our past experiences. So Happy we tried this branch will always go back there. Quality very good, freshness of the food. Got what we ordered. Not issues at all. Will travel the extra distance just for this shop. Have ordered three times since.

The prawn starter and the sushi is amazing. Great food and fresh. The chairs outside were a little dirty with food. Please ensure they are clean before customers are seated there but all around great place and good service. Will definitely be back soon.
The food was phenomenal, and the waitron was absolutely superb. What a lovely lunch we had with close friends of our that we've not seen in so long because of the currently ongoing pandemic.

Food and staff were terrible. We asked for grilled fish but it came back burnt. Also waitress mixed up our orders and drinks where diluted with water
I normally come to this place but today my experience is awful. I'm actually typing this while eating. Firstly someone sat me down and I was unattended for over 10 minutes when the waitron finally showed up I placed my order cause I know what I want but guess what he got my order all wrong. I wanted maki avo as a take away and to eat I wanted seafood platter for 1. When my food came some trainee person delivered as we speak I don't know whose my waitress or waitron.
I always enjoy my visit to this place. Ocean Basket at uShaka is one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE restaurants by far. Great Vibe, The food is spectacularly delicious and the service I get is immaculate (@Steven). They also make killer garlic mussels and the sauce is to die for, even order it separately.it's worth the try. Note to OB Management: some of us really enjoyed the Garlic Rolls you guys used to offer. Please bring that back.it was amazing. Oh and the smoking section was also such an awesome chill zone, I hate having to walk to a designated smoking section outside the restaurant to have a smoke, especially if I am not finished ordering or after the first course.we smokers are funny like that. It can be a deal breaker, but Thank you ALL for maintaining your standards and retaining customers like me. (sssshhhh.not like MOYO's.)
