Oxford Freshmarket Bluff reviews
27Gosh this place so full during covid people were back to back. No social distancing. Packers were packing fresh produce and just leaving the carts all over. No space for us to walk nicely. I like to shop with a clear mind not jumping and squeezing through things
The security guards who stand by the entrance are very rude they don't know how to speak to customers and every time that i go there i experience that I'm really annoyed
at this point.
There is no parking an you have to wait so long so that's why don't like going there an when I went to buy half a sheep for braai, the meat was so hard because they put B grade lable an it Cgrade meat, not happy at all
Extremely disappointed there has been numerous times I had to take back chicken, meat and today bacon bones because it's gone off, they mix old stuff with new stuff to get sold instead of taking what is old away and not have it on the shelves. Fruits and vegetables aren't the best and can barely be kept for a couple days. They are cheap and convenient and at times worth it but I'm actually tired of having to take back stuff because it's off
First visit to this store, was not a good experience as staff was unfriendly.
Bought sausages which beef and pork both tasted sour when cooked.really a waste of money
Very disappointed in our first visit, fresh produce. Veggies and fruit not fresh. Crumbed chicken breasts tough could not eat them, prices same as everywhere else, not worth the trip from South Coast
I'm marking Oxford down because of the parking situation. It's hellish. As a supermarket, it's way above average. It has EVERYTHING. Fruit, veggies, a proper butchery, and everything in between.
It's a good place to shop. I said good! Not great. You can get most of your vegetables, meat and groceries all under one roof. Some of the quality of the vegetables are not so grand at times. The butchery is great as a variety of meat ie lamb, beef, chicken and pork. Groceries: they seemed well stocked. The hot foods section.used to love their fried chicken when they first opened but sadly their quality has dropped. The staff at the hot foods section should atleast have a smile with a good attitude towards customers. The till points has way too long ques and this area needs to be looked at. Customers cannot be made to wait 20 to 30 min in a que. The quicker the better. My worst nightmare is the parking.to get parking in the vicinity is difficult. Although they have a separate parking across the road. Not many would walk that distance with packets in their hand over a busy road.
Large store and large variety of meats and produce. However rhe customer experience is terrible. Disorganized foot traffic and stock movement with too many people. There is no queueing system and you spend more time waiting to pay than shopping. Unprofessional feel of a wholesale farmers market. Unbeatable pricing and top class quality of food saves the store rating.
Would be a much beter experience if the cashier's and packers did not ignore the customers while They are having a good lengthy chat while the customer has to wait.
Affordable prices especially on Tuesdays, fresh fruit and veggies plus opens very early and closes very late
Their meat is amazing and at a reasonable price. The problem is the parking it is always packed. But also says alot about their services.
Busy as usual. Goods reasonably priced. Gentlemen at the veggie section was excellent help me find my moms walking stick as she put it down when she looked at the green beans and only realised when we were almost done in the store.thank you. I did not get his name.
Besides a shop that is great, parking and space vs people and maneuvering inside the shop make it less than it could be. This is not due to the shop but the people using it.
Your one stop bargain shop. Fresh vegetables (especially specials) very cheap - everything else is available ; meat, bread, milk, confectionery, staple foods, commodities. Good take away /hot food also available at cheap prices. Extensive operating hours. Can get very busy - especially Tuesdays.
There price on milk and yoghurt is stable and one does not pay more than at other shops. The milk and especially the yogurt if excellent quality.
Great products, wonderfull shopping experience, helpful staff.great selection of fresh meat, Veggies and baked goods.
The meat price has gone up and if I can suggest is to bring it a bit down on pension day for the elderly. They can show their pension cards at the till for a bit of discount. My husband and are pensioners and we buy most of our groceries at Oxford Fresh market Bluff.
One stop for fresh fruit and vegetables as well as all other groceries including a pet food and a bakery
