Oxford Freshmarket Waterfall

Best experience in Hillcrest/Waterfall when shopping for food. Good quality fresh foods. Isles wide enough for shoppers to pass without bumping into one another. Value for money shopping!

Gammon and Christmas cake sold out but their oxford brand milk is back! Lovely spacious shop. Yummy chips at their outside take away section too.

Great selection of meat and fresh veggies the shop is well stocked and neatly packed, the isles are wide allowing for a pleasant experience overall aesthetics very pleasing, there is plenty more on offer, the staff are helpful and respect shoppers, all in all well Done.

The last 4 times I have been here I have been charged more at the till than was marked in the shop.

Despite being skeptical and reluctant to adjust my shopping routines, I find myself returning to the new Oxford.

Numerous, well-staffed till points mean that I have not had to wait long to exit the store. The store is big but with a clever layout to direct the flow of shoppers. Oxford carries a variety of fresh produce but it's the little things that keep drawing me back there. Well priced blueberries out before any of my regular shops. Little gems like pomegranates and blood oranges that I can afford. Export grade naartjies I have not had in years.

The green-grocer format has been so enjoyable when I've had time to pick and choose individual fruit and veg. The ability to buy fresh without buying plastic keeps me coming back. My only criticism so far is the lack of alternative fresh produce bags, but I bring my own.

General grocery items can be more expensive than the major chain stores so I might not do a full shop here yet. Perhaps the very competitive specials offset the more expensive items We shall see.

Mark, the bakery manager, went out of his way to accommodate my requests and there is always a staff member close at hand. Dare I say that the staff shows 'Woolies level' hospitality and helpfulness? It's early days still. We shall see.

So far so good. Worth the trip to Waterfall. Check it out.

This store is a breath of fresh air in Waterfall. Finally, there is a store with quality vegetables at good prices. The butchery quality and pricing is also fantastic. The staff are friendly and helpful. The reward card is really nice to be earning cash back on every product purchased, so you're saving twice on each transaction.

So Oxford thinks they trolleys are that top tier that they don't allow you to shop in their store with another trolley.i have entered countless shops with a trolley that wasn't theirs and did my shopping peacefully.i wasn't even allowed to enter their premises which is very rude by the way.the mall is far from Oxford for me to not bring my own trolley because they don't let out their own trollies because quote "They're expensive" rude. Wonderful to have this huge store 1km from where I live. Loads of space and the usual array of great products we expect from Oxford. The best Biltong comes from here!

As nice as this branch is visually, getting hold of ANY type of customer care is basically non existing. No one answers any phones. This store isn't listed on the Oxford website. And there are no contact details other than the one number on Google.
If I managed to get a hold of management, I would've liked to tell them the hair products I bought were somehow opened and the color formulas are stolen so I essentially received a box with bleach powder in it.

Such a pleasure to go and shop there. I go all the time and I live in Pinetown. No other place can compare to the and there pricing, and such friendly and helpful staff membrrs. The New Oxfords Store is great and has very friendly staff. However, the quality of the fruit and veg are not great. Long lasting items like pumpkins that I use for my business off within a week, oranges the same. Strawberries 2-3 days and they were completely moldy.

A big beautiful store and quite busy. I was however a little disappointed with the fresh produce. I checked out the Baked goods on special but found the the sell by date was "4 days ago" and then moved on the the veggies to find only 1 pack of sweetcorn (R39.99 for 4 small cobs) which was very expensive and already spoiling at the ends. There were baby cabbages which looked as if mildew had taken hold and after a few more looks I bought nothing. Obviously stock rotation was a bit slow. Hopefully only teething troubles which will be resolved. Oxford has made a big impression in the neighborhood and wishing them only success with this iniative. Staff were friendly and helpful and security guy at the main entrance.no. 1

Went into the new Oxford Freshmarket store in Waterfall at 06h00 last week. The store was clean, bright, well-stocked and a hive of happy, bustling energy. Considering it was 06: 00 in the morning, and I was barely awake myself, the staff were bright-eyed, smiley and helpful. It was such a wonderful place to visit first thing in the morning and thanks to the contagious enthusiasm of the staff, it set me on a happy path for the rest of my day. Thank you, Oxford staff, for spreading a little warmth and good cheer into our community. You guys ROCK!
