Salt Café

Absolute gem with great service delicious pizzas. Just enjoyed coffee and a toasted ham and cheese crousant.

My absolute favourite little nugget in Ballito. A must go for anyone after a relaxed coastal café kind of atmosphere.

Small but excellent Pizza and service not cheap but good quality. Excellent location a must visit.

This spot is awesome. Would give it some more TLC to take it to the next level. The croissants are great the coffee not my favorite. They should add smoothies to the menu. The pizza is insane.

Always a pleasure.its the first place we visit the moment we arrive in Balito. Love their coffee, croissants, choc brownies and their pizzas and such awesome friendly staff. Still hoping they sell this gorgeous little place to us one day so we have an excuse to retire down there.

I love the lattes here and the almond croissants are delicious. It so nice to be able to walk from the beach straight into the cafe. There is such a lovely vibe here. A simple but delicious menu.

Proper little “hole in the wall”… but it’s great. Coffee is pretty good, but the croissants are amazing!
Always a nice vibe in the morning and if you really want to you can grab a takeaway and head across the road straight onto the beach. Great spot to stop after a run or cycle too.

Have not found croissants as good as these anywhere else in Durban. Their woodfire oven pizza is also unbeatable.

Was recently in Umhlanga and had a tonne of mates suggest Salt when I asked for restaurant recommendations. Lovely aesthetics inside the shop and a good selection of food and hot drinks, reasonably priced too.

Whilst I was down I had the vegetarian pizza with extra artichokes and mushrooms - removed the cheese and it made a phenomenal vegan option (maybe ask for some extra marinara sauce and definitely add some chilli). Perfection.

Great roadside cafe. Friendly service, good food, limited menu. Only serves pizza from lunchtime onwards. Pet friendly too!

Awesome Awesome Awesome. Croissants are made fresh every morning. You literally get them as soon as they come out of the oven. And don't get me started on the coffee frappes, they are delish. Definitely worth a visit when ever you are in salt rock.

Not a variety of places to eat to choose from in the earea. Service was good with a smile. Food a bit pricey for what you get.
