The standard of hygiene in this store is shocking! Ordered a Lotus Biscoff Latte on Sunday, 24 September 2023, and witnessed the Barista, Zandile I think she said her name was, drop the cup on the floor which already had the syrup in it, wipe it and continue as if nothing happened. When I lost it and asked her what the hell kind of hygiene is this, only then did she use a new cup and start over. I asked for the Manager who was off, and was met with the person in charge at the time, who was so uninterested, had such a bad attitude and apologised in a manner that clearly said to me this was not a serious concern for her. Does Vida not provide any training to their staff? What criteria do they use when employing people? Is incompetence a key requirement? Wow this store is a joke.

Be careful of the one cashier, HE WILL OVER-CHARGE YOU and pocket the rest. He got my mother two weeks ago and is probably doing it to many more customers. Please check the total and the price of items.

Tasty toasted sandwiches and frios. Best place to get a quick snack or light meal. Staff are also very friendly.

Probably the worst tasting gelados of all the Vida e Caffe’s in SA…

Most disappointing that the taste is almost always inconsistent…

Been buying at least one a day for the last 6 years… and this branch has lost a customer for life.

The cafe mocha was flat and flavorless. One staff member in particular keeps on insisting that Vitality vouchers are only for cappuccino and refuses to scan the QR codes for other drinks on the menu. This store will be reported to Discovery Vitality for deceiving customers.

Cozy little shop with the friendliest staff. The store is extremely neat and tidy. The drinks are refreshing and the food is delicious. The vegan chicken and mayo toast is a nice addition to their menu.

Nonthobeko, feeling a little in the deep end as she was not the barista, pulled out all the stops and delivered an increadible coffee. With such courtesy and friendliness.

Was not acknowledged upon entering the store, watched with wide eyes as the staff desperately flicked flies out the food display unit that I decided would not be the first choice of breakfast afterall. Found it in me to interrupt the staff member who'd yet to ask if I needed assistance whilst she waved the flies around with a cloth. I said, "good morning, "looks like you have a fly problem", i was further ignored, then asked if anyone could please let me know what sandwiches where on offer with the grande coffee special currently being run. Yet to get any greeting or remark about the noticeable fly issue, I got a response of, "chicken" that was it. I stood for a while longer in silence stunned by the service and decided I deserved way better than this. I then went next door to Mark Gold for a lovely freshly toasted sandwich "minus any flies" with coffee to go and was waited on eagerly by friendly people who seemed happy to sell me a single sarmy with all the smiles and appreciation of having made a sale. Come on Vida, do better!

Not clean lots of flies had to constantly fight the flies while trying to eat which was hard.and no enthusiasm from staff. The overall atmosphere was displeasing.

Not the cleanest place to have a quick cup of coffee but service is good. From a Covid protocol point of view, no cleaning of tables and chairs after customers leave. Waiters and cleaners must be asked to attend to the cleanliness of the overall area. Lots of flies all over the place but I guess with the hot weather we have, this is not something uncommon. For now, I won't visit again. Hopefully they get their ducks in a row so that I consider visiting again. Management needs to make changes in terms of hospitality.

Food n coffee good but staff not very helpful. Tables n chairs on the patio not cleaned and had to be wiped by myself before being seated.coffee n food delivered to table and that's it. Staff to busy chatting in the kitchen.

Had an unfortunate incident with a staff member and he was apparently the training officer. I asked for the ingredients to a muffin which I never ate before and he was quite rude. I am a regular at Vida, but I will be patronising another coffee shop around the corner, which would welcome my business in these trying times. Prejudice and racism should not exist in 2021.

Hit or miss with the drink quality.
I went yesterday and the Frio I had was not great.
My friend had a peanut butter Frio and there was a little bug in it.

Very disappointed with the Frios Berry smoothie. I was mostly ice and very little fruit. I make my own smoothies with only fresh fruit at home so I know there was hardly any fruit in it just enough to slightly colour the ice water. I basically paid R44 for ice water and not a fresh fruit smoothie. First and last time I will ever go to a Vida e Caffe

Great place for a real coffee experience. Location is great for a cosmoplitan morning view, with beaitiful Mitchell Park across the way.

Undoubtedly the Rudest staff at a Vida i have experienced. How about showing 1 out of 10 interest in your jobs! If you hate being at work, then dont go, someone else will do it better.

I must admit I'm biased towards Vida e caffe because in my opinion they make the best commercial hot chocolate available!

Certainly one of the best coffee shop and locations in the world. A lovely fresh sea breeze, plus Mitchell Park on ur 3 and a beautiful garden on ur 11. Best staff as well.
