Had a great time last year. This year, over and above loadshedding which I understand, the power goes off every night outside the schedule. The bathrooms are dirty, no water on a regular basis, pools dirty (not because of the pumps not working, actual debris floating around. The stand paving are full of weed, some plugs you can even fit into the slot because of the placement, tacky maintenance with wires hanging all over the place, the dam and walkway leading to it is overgrown, the petting zoo is closed, the game camps are closed. Gardens are not maintained and overgrown. Entertainment is great and they do a lot for the kids. Can be very successful but I get the feeling the owners are not reinvesting back into the resort.

Had a wonderful stay here with some of the family. The camp grounds were very clean and well looked after. The ablution blocks were also well kept and clean. They have a lovely bar/restaurant with some cocktails and a decent menu (the chips are amazing). They also have a great pool and playground area for the kids with many birds and some wildlife roaming around. It's currently a place I would recommend to friends and family and would definitely go back for another weekend away.

Nice facilities. Love the private ablution at the campsites. In pool bar is a fun place to enjoy drinks.

Brilliant little place for a winter weekend break away. We usually camp here, but decided to take the 3 bed 'lapa'. Value for money.

What an amazing experience. Went for the weekend, our choice was a 4 sleeper. The layout was so comfortable. Nice outside patio surrounded by nature and animals. Ground floor has a 1 bedroom and bathroom including outdoor shower and it is private, kitchen and living room with very comfortable furniture. On the 1st floor was 3 single beds and a bathroom.

The pool area is great. 2 pools and a bar pool plus indoor heated pool. There are beerpong, ping pong outside as well. More than enough to do.

The Nyalas and bushbucks come to greet you during sunset or later evenings. Nice outside braai facilities. Will definitely be going back

First time back in 11 years and place looks like it has not changed. A little run down outside of the main areas. They did not accept debit or credit cards for shop and had an ATM on site that would only give R500 at a time. This is not acceptable in today's world.

It's was an eventful stay.awesome interaction with the Emu and Nyala.many great aspects but unfortunately the ablutions were an issue.cold water for two of the evenings when showering and the men's toilets were not kept clean and the showers filled up with water.poor drainage.
The long list of rules tgatbwere given were not enforced so loud music by many different campers till late

Excellent camping facilities. The place is well laid out and properly managed. We were a bit disappointed with the farmyard because there were hardly any animals in the cages. The wild animals roaming freely between the campsites made up for it though.

Good camping experience. Most camp sites have green grass, swimming pool areas are well maintained with other facilities such as a tuck shop, restaurant and indoor pool area. Ablution was clean for the most part.

We paid for a stand with electricity and a private bathroom, when we got to the resort on Friday we where told that they don't have any power but there is a time table for when the generator is running (we where also inform of how much money this cost every day, this is not the guests problem) Friday night we turn on the warm water with only cold water coming out of they geyser, Friday night was rainy and very cold. Saturday morning we phoned reception to find out why the generator was not warming our geyser, only to be told they can't accommodate every one, we must use the shared ablution if we want warm water (so the generator warms the shared ablution where you don't pay for a private bathroom, but when you pay extra no warm water?).

As it was cold Friday night and Saturday morning we wanted to go for a swim in the heated pool which they say is part of their facilities, but oh of course, as there was no power the heated swimming pool was also cold.

They also have a note in the private bathrooms that say that during COVID time they are not servicing the private bathrooms, if they cared about COVID why aren't there any card facilities at the resort, everything you do must be paid in cash.

When we raised our concerns Saturday when asked how we are enjoying our stay we where told "at least you are here" this after we asked if we can move our booking to March we where told yes only to be told the next day no we can't move our booking then we loose our money. Why didn't they then inform us about the power outage they already had for a week? Now we must hear how expensive the generator is, its simple they should've informed guest and moved them if they had a issue with there being no power since all the facilities could not be enjoyed.

Oh also don't think of reviewing them on Facebook, comments get deleted and posts get ignored, only compliment posts get liked - Funny how after one bad review there are 2 positive reviews, one from a agent trying to sell one of the chalets and one from the owners daughter (LOL).

Good Place but very expensive for no reason. There are better places with much lower costing. Poor campsite, Poor Ablutions. Horrible Spa. Try not to get into the shop as well. No COVID Protocols as mentions by other travelers. Bushveld is good. Good Birds. Saw Woodland Kingfisher (rare).

Great resort, great facilities, great team and great festivities. They could water some of the camp sites a little more, but other than that it's a great place to be.

Mbizi is by far one of my most favorite holiday resorts. Friendly staff and lots to do. It's also just an hours drive from my house

We will not go to Mbizi again. Unfriendly staff, some facilities not working, very expensive (accommodation and food/bev). There is a lot of places in the area that is much better.
