Sleepers Railway Station Restaurant.

Ok experince.
-I was here around 1230-1pm (nov 14). It took a while for my drink, 25+ min for coca cola, and they had not taken my order yet either, and i saw many other servers standing around.
-My server came out with the coca cola and said she had cut her finger, and that was why it took so long.
-Took my order and the food came in another 15min or so.
-The food was good, i had a chicken sandwich, it was good.
-nice outdoor seating
Overall it was good, but i was on a bit of a time limit, just before she came out with my coca cola, i was about to stand up and leave and find someplace faster for lunch. I can understand if she was injured, but why didnt any other server standing around help her?

Great food and service. First time for me at Sleepers. Will defenitely visit again. Really enjoyed. Keep up the good service.

Dissapointed! Most of the meat on menu is cooked with a wine sauce. The pasta is a Starter size and pasta not cooked and 4 strips of ham en 6 mushrooms in Alfredo. Waiter no smile or pride to assist did not feel welcome at all. Got offered spinach as veggies received mixed veggies. Eishbein overcooked and dry not "lekker". This place is not the same anymore. Did not finished the food and left still hungry

Becky is such a fantastic waitress! Surely she will excel in hospitality. Intelligent, beautiful, witty and definitely service with a gorgeous smile, and from the heart.
Atmosphere and food was amazing, but the curry wasn't up to expected as other food items on thr menu.service all round is top class.

Great food. The curry was outstanding. Burgers the same. Filet with camabert and cranberries delicious.
Wine list lacking but still ok

Can say this is probably the best bar in Hoedspruit! Family friendly during the day and good fun for adults in the eve

This is one of the best restaurants in town for sure! And it's come a long way. Affordable, great tasting food and a calm relaxing environment. Would recommend it to anyone! And thanks to our fast service and pleasant smile from gaby. Compliments to the kitchen

I went twice at this restaurant, the both time, it was amazing. The food is amazing, like the meat was so nice. Also, the mood/atmosphere was great. You can go alone or with a lot of people, they got all the size for table. Very good choice!

The location of Sleepers felt like a mini discovery adventures, just like a hidden gem, the place is very cosy, the garden is adorable and lushy.the starters were fantastic, we were unhappy with main course & dessert.my friends plate didn't have sauce, the other was brought a steak that was off, my pasta had no cream although the dish did say creamy, my chocolate mousse was dry, the ice cream we all had was not the nicest.end of service the staff looked like they couldn't wait for us to leave.would not be coming back again

They have a big menu with lots of options. Vegetarian friendly.
We had the dough balls, kiddies pizza and shroom pasta this time.
Sometimes the train passes which the kids like.
Service could improve.

Welcoming atmosphere and great food. Service was a tad slow but they were quite busy. Nonetheless, their margaritas were on point and kept us going until mains arrived. A must visit for the local Hoedspruit experience.

Excellent food, great service and an unforgettable atmosphere. The train went by when I was eating, that was rather special.

My wife and I decided to take my mother and father out for a father's day lunch. We book a table inside the restaurant. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed and guided to our table. The food was absolutely amazing. Everything was perfect. The only disappointment was the fact that they did not have non alcoholic champagne available. Can't wait to come back and enjoy the experience again.

We come here every few months and it never disappoints. We usually have burgers or pizza. We recently tried the Oxtail burger which was amazing. We also had the chicken schnitzel with brandy sauce and avocado - even though it was really good, the portion size was a bit disappointing, especially for the price you pay. They are open during loadshedding, but just remember you'll have a long wait for the food then. Will really recommend Sleepers, the vibe is always nice.

I ordered a plate of chips, and specifically asked the lady to put chips spice on. When the chips came, it was bland and totally unimaginative. Why do restaurants still serve chips without chips spice or at least Cajun spice? Surely all restaurants have some kind of spice used for other foods to spice up the chips?

An excellent spot to have a cold beer and a bite to eat when in Hoesdpruit. Sleepers has got a pretty unique vibe as a working station with trains passing through. The food was very good and while service wasn't blindingly fast, it was ok. All in all a nice place to chill and have a good meal at a reasonable price.

Nice place. Seems to be popular amongst the locals. My T-bone was unfortunately on the Medium side of Medium-rare, something that is unfortunately common when steaks are cut too thin.
