Very tasty food, friendly service, sweet place. Booking recommended as the hikes, abseiling, canoeing, etc all are based at this spot.

All was very good. Lovely atmosphere even early mornings.
Can be somewhat cold next to the river so keep a jacket close by.
Good variety of food and prices.
Reading corner with dome nice board games, to do something different when you boared.

The coffee is smooth & enjoyable.
The menu is diverse and includes vegetarian options.

Ordered the steak, egg & chips. Chips were piping hot. The Sirloin steak was thick cut and a good serving. The dish was prepared as requested.   Absolute bonus the steak is served unadulterated by basting sauce. The food is tasty & delicious.

Mojito is refreshing and enjoyable in the relaxed setting, with the music in the background and chorus of bird song.

Service is welcoming and attentive without being intrusive.

Love the serenity here & off the beaten track feel, although you can here the traffic on the R104.
Fortunately the start of the road is paved where it's steepest and then the rest is sand.
Ample parking available for bikes, cars and motorcycles. Ample shaded areas under the trees.
There is seating available inside or outside on the deck overlooking the flowing river.

They play awesome jazz-cafe music which adds to the atmosphere.

A worthwhile place to have a Sunday meal  or a cocktail or two and they are open from 07h00. Furbabies are allowed too.
