As Greek as It Gets Cullinan reviews
42Greatest of service, wonderful food and staff, very friendly and gives a refreshing cultural experience.
Great vibe, great food, great service. Bourekias (chicken) is a must. We were 4 people and ordered 2 platters with 5 items of our choice on each of them. Great to share and have a taste of everything. Vonny (owner's wife) came especially, on our request, to the restaurant to show us her handmade silver jewellery. It's authentic and worthwhile. Love my bracelet!
Great food, very friendly waiters. The bathroom could do with a bit of freshening up though.a good lick of paint would do wonders Over all great place, many thanks.
The food is amazing and it has a fun atmosphere we went there for my brother's birthday and had a absolutely amazing day
The best service. The owner personally comes to your table. That's what you want from a local restaurant! Also, I feel like I'm in the Greek Islands when I sit there. Their platters are definitely top notch!
The owners are extremely rude. Felt so uncomfortable, we had to leave immediately. Would definitely not recommend to anyone. Very dirty as well, my daughter had an allergic reaction to the dust.

There is xtra virgin olive oil and Modena balsamic vinegar on the table to dress the salad
The Pitas are pita pockets made to fill up with the dips
Platters are 80% of our business
You make as if we gave a 2 pieces of haloumi and 3 bland dips
Your platter consisted of
1) A small salad, 3 dips and 2 garlic pitas
2) chicken fillets wrapped around marinated feta in a lemon yoghurt sauce
3) Grilled Falklands calamari
4) generously sized vine leaves stuffed with dill and mint infused rice and topped with Greek yoghurt
5) Half shell mussels done in a garlic cream and white wine sauce
6) Grilled Haloumi
7) Potato wedges that all our clients love and spanakorizo

You also have the option to go to Mythos if you plse
Just be honest
You didn't like the price
Good food and our waitor was good. However staff where getting shouted at while we where there. A bit awkward. Discipline in private would be better.
Classic no fuss Greek food. Platters are excellent and tasty for small groups. The grilled calamari was very tasty. Friendly staff in relaxed surroundings
Great food I have to say, but the owner is dam rude to her staff shouting and going on for herself in front of customers, she made it seriously uncomfortable for everyone, Zack and Helen are fantastic waiters and really made us feel welcomed and service was great. I just feel sorry for them as the owner is nothing short of a Karen and drinks way to much.
And as I am reading the comments I note that the owner cannot handle criticism by her responses.
We were delightfully surprised by the quality of food, service and hospitality of this restaurant! The food was as fresh as it can be! Delicious! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! We had a platter selection and it blew us away! This is my new favorite in Cullinan!
We arrived at 11.45am, we were the first ones at the restaurant. There was no water (even though the other shops in the area had water) the food took more than 1 hour. Bottle of sparkling water was opened and there was tap water in it. The manageress is very rude - and dismissed our complaints. Food was VERY average. My chicken had blood in it. And we had to remind our waitress countless times to bring drinks. Food was very overpriced for what we got! The general facilities in the restaurant were really not up to standard!
Disgusting restaurant with pathetic service and management. We went here for lunch yesterday and we extremely disappointed. There was no water at the restaurant and we had to wash our hands in buckets left on the floor (even though there was water at Harrie's pancakes up the road where went for dessert). It took over 40 minutes for our coffee to arrive and close to an hour for our food to get to our table. When we complained to the manager she was completely dismissive. My friend's chicken still had blood in it! When our waiter finally got to our table she was in tears and couldn't stop crying for the remainder of the afternoon - apparently due to the way the owner spoke to her. As can be seen by other reviews this seems to be a common theme of the "management". We couldn't get out of this "restaurant" fast enough. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!
We waited 40 minutes for two Esspressos and an hour for a less than average meal. The lamb chops were cooked rare at best and the chicken had blood in it. We also served an bottle of water that had been opened and tasted like it had been filled up on a farm. The manageress was aggressive when we complained and dismissive at best. My kleftico tasted like a pre packed school lunch.
We are seasoned diners and I can tell you that this was one level up from a food table at a school fate.
Never again.
I've never been to this restaurant. But I know I never will go to it for the simple reason that the way in which the owner has addressed the review by the patron named Lior Levy simply astounds me! How any manager can address such a complaint on social media- coupled with the many reviews leveled at how managment yells at staff - speaks volumes about the arrogance and entitlement of such a restaurant owner. Such a person clearly doesn't need or want the business.
As Greek as it gets in a small town in the middle of nowhere versus Mezepoli Greek restaurant in high class Melrose arch. Is choose this place over Mezepoli any day the food is to die for
We couldn't get out of the restaurant fast enough.
The food is way to oily and not well presented either. To make things worse the "Greek" music that was playing was way to loud and actually annoying. On top of it all the owner kept shouting instructions to his waiters which ruined the experience completely.
Warmly welcomed by friendly hostess. Excellent service.
Historic Cullinan house was the ideal setting for enjoying a 90th birthday dinner.
Melt in the mouth steak.
Tender juicy lamb chops.
Kingklip and calamari in lemon cream sauce.
Well recommended.
The only thing worse than the completely un-greek and average food was the owner yelling instructions at his two waiters constantly.
The meals are over priced and you wouldn't mind waiting 40 minutes if you could enjoy the calm atmosphere without the owner shouting or if the meals were altleast palatable.
