Eagles Fare Restaurant & Wedding Venue reviews
38There waiters are super kind. The food is delicious and the outdoor seating makes one feel free
Always a treat, friendly environment and commendable service - been going there for years. May they continue to prosper always
Friendly staff. We went as a group of 16. They quickly put tables and umbrellas together. The service was good. The Garden is beautiful. A must for everybody to see and do.
We had a very tasty brunch here. Very pleasant sitting outside but in the shade with all the birdlife around us.
Food was great, but service was on the slow side. But overall a good experience, with the likelihood of spotting the resident black eagles flying overhead, if you're seated outsode!
It was in a busy day when i visited. The waiter were so helpful and friendly. And the food were very good,
Lovely peaceful atmosphere within the beautiful Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens.
Food was well prepared. The backdrop of Witpoortjie waterfall made for an utterly magnificent culinary experience
My daughter loved her white hot chocolate here. The service is good. I do find them over priced though, which is usually the case when there is a captive market.
Definitely going to be back for our wedding next year February Valentines day. Or before. Absolutely a very friendly atmosphere and amazing service. Thank you so much.
Great food, love the presentation, salad was fabulous. The only thing I wasn't happy about was the coffee milkshake which tasted more vanilla than coffee, used to coffee milkshake tasting stronger. Other than that no complaints and will definitely return
I honestly love the garden. The restaurant was a clear reminder of why I should have packed a picnic basket. Guys noooo, I am all for supporting but this was a mess, the food was yuck
A really lovely venue. Wonderful to be outside in the open watching the waterfall in the distance. Food good prices good. Birds very very good. An enjoyable time indeed.
Great place, after a high strength mountainous hike, the restaurant offers a variety of meals, snacks, and drinks, with efficient service
The most disgusting restaurant I have ever been to. The waiters don't know how the foods are constituted or cooked. It takes 20 minutes to get a bottle of water; and that includes a complaint after 15 minutes. A plate of chips consists of 10 pieces+/-. If you want veggies instead of chips you have to pay R 21 extra and you don't get the chips. It takes 40 minutes to prepare very simple dishes with the restaurant having people at 3 tables. The smoothies taste as if they have been left in the sun to mature. Do your self a favor and buy chip n dip. You will be a lot happier!
Great spot and scenery in the botanical Gardens but that's about where it stops. The menu is very limited and not in a good way. Overpriced food that is bland and unexciting. The decor and menu feel like they haven't been updated since the 90s/early 2000's. And in 2019 that's just not up to scratch. If they updated the decor and modernised the menu I think it would attract a lot more people. The fried hake was dry and rubbery and had all of the bones. The trout was also bland and the hollandaise type sauce was terrible. Better option to take a picnic rather tab to eat here.
Great location in a beautiful garden, very efficient, polite and friendly staff combined with simple tasty food
We visit our favourite spot every Tuesday.wonderful service and food.
