Eagles Fare Restaurant & Wedding Venue reviews
38 First And Last Visit Here. Went there with my kids tables dirty, service sucked and food was awful. The sweet Chilli chicken was pieces of what seemed like boiled no taste chicken put into a sweet Chilli sauce that tasted like it came out a bottle. Wedges that were not wedges and it was expensive.
Will not support this place again.really sad as it seems to be the only place to eat there.
The food was not great, ordered wings and potato wedges as a side. It was a total disappointment. Was given some cheap tomato sauce which tasted horrible. I won't even mention the coffee milkshake, horrible.
I thought I had eaten bad food prior at Irene Farm
This is by far thee worst food I have ever ever eaten. Poor grade ingredients.
Low quality condiments.
It's just bad. Shame and the poor waiters are very helpful and you can see they used to complaints.
I ordered Alfredo pasta and it was horrible. My girlfriend ordered hake and chips, it wasn’t seasoned. The waiter Buhle was lovely.
Serivec was absolutely terrible. We waited over an hour for food. Other people were being served before us. We got chicken in our one vegetarian meal and the meals were so bland. The waiter couldn't remember the order and literally brought my milkshake just before the bill after initially taking it to the wrong table. We even had to wait for the bill. Really had such a beautiful morning up until what was supposed to be late breakfast turned into lunch.
The staff was very unfriendly and we waited aprx.an hour for the food. The whole place is a chaos, very unorganized.
The most disgusting restaurant I have ever been to. The waiters don't know how the foods are constituted or cooked. It takes 20 minutes to get a bottle of water; and that includes a complaint after 15 minutes. A plate of chips consists of 10 pieces+/-. If you want veggies instead of chips you have to pay R 21 extra and you don't get the chips. It takes 40 minutes to prepare very simple dishes with the restaurant having people at 3 tables. The smoothies taste as if they have been left in the sun to mature. Do your self a favor and buy chip n dip. You will be a lot happier!
The location is beautiful and was the restaurant's only saving grace. It took over an hour for service, on a quiet day. No one seemed to know who our waiter was, but a 10% gratuity was added onto the bill automatically. A very disappointing meal!
Great atmosphere service wasn't great, and much nicer packing your own picnic basket to sit in the gardens
Overly priced. The worst coffee and hot chocolate that I have ever had to pay for. Pity that they are the only place you can buy coffee from in the botanical gardens.
Mothersday lunch 8 May 2022, buffet lunch.seating was poor, dirty cultlery, poor service, the price asked per head for lunch over-prized for the food served. A 10 % fee was added to the bill, we were 3 people and no waiter even helped us.
Went for an early business lunch yesterday 7th September at 11h00 and was greeted by manager and shown to a table after it was cleaned and sanitized. Waited for 12-15 minutes to be given any further attention, not even menus, got up and walked out nobody even noticed.)
I honestly love the garden. The restaurant was a clear reminder of why I should have packed a picnic basket. Guys noooo, I am all for supporting but this was a mess, the food was yuck
The food is a bit bland. I asked for scones but had to take a toasted sandwich as scones are not baked so late on a Sunday. We visited 1pm. Beautiful setting.
The food was great and the staff were friendly. The staff just need more training as they didn't come past often nor did they take the empty plates and glasses away.
The worst Mince and mushroom Omelette EVER.aweful Filter coffee.
Food arrived long befre cutlery was brought.i was not impressed
Absolute rip off with their ice creams, one price if bought from their kiosk but another price if you go and purchase inside the restaurant when the kiosk is closed. Same restsurant and just does not make sense.
My daughter loved her white hot chocolate here. The service is good. I do find them over priced though, which is usually the case when there is a captive market.
Great spot and scenery in the botanical Gardens but that's about where it stops. The menu is very limited and not in a good way. Overpriced food that is bland and unexciting. The decor and menu feel like they haven't been updated since the 90s/early 2000's. And in 2019 that's just not up to scratch. If they updated the decor and modernised the menu I think it would attract a lot more people. The fried hake was dry and rubbery and had all of the bones. The trout was also bland and the hollandaise type sauce was terrible. Better option to take a picnic rather tab to eat here.
