Hinterland Restaurant

Took my hubby there for his birthday. Despite being the only people in the restaurant we didn't get exceptionally quick service. Chicken schnitzel was slightly dry. Meat had a very distinct grill taste. Speciality milkshakes chocolate and milktart were both just ordinary, nothing special

I had the chicken schnitzel and it was delicious. The portion is huge, I could only eat half at the restaurant and finished it off as a leftover the next day. The ambiance is good and the service is impeccable. I really enjoyed this place.

I had the lamb curry/roast.the meal was everything and more. I love the ambience of the place.a great place.great wine.definitely reccomend going for dinner.

What a great experience @ Hinterland. Felt almost at home with a similar atmosphere as Stellenbosch Wine Bar and Restaurant in Windhoek. Great food, great service and great people! It is on my recommendation list.

Food is excellent. Steak is cooked to perfection. Manager is always around and is very friendly. The only complaint I have is the small number of waiters. But other than that this is one of the best restaurants I have ever visited.

Chef Danie and team certainly know how to keep you coming back! Steakhouses can be monotonous, one much like the other, but not Hinterland. Excellent service and food (quality, taste & presentation). Well worth the visit, again and again!

Have been to Hinterland more times than I can remember. Great service, great food, reasonable prices. Have never left dissapointed, always a pleasant experience. Definitely one of the best Pretoria has to offer!

Meat was average, roasted vegetables were soft and NOT roasted. They seemed to be boiled and then a flame was run over them.

Champagne was out of stock

Creme Brulee was cold, curdled and the top did not crack.

With a Butcher attached to the restaurant, you know exactly what to expect. Great meat, cooked to perfection and a fine selection of wine.

Staff are friendly, food was better than average. Nice decor, comfortable seating. I'll definitely be back.

The food took quite a while to arrive but it was worth the wait. By the time you get your meal you're just about starving but at least the portion sizes are generous.
The prices are slightly higher than a normal restaurant but you do get to have a sort of a fine-dining experience and the vibe is very inviting.
Hinterland prides themselves on their wine collection and it is certainly a formidable one. The staff can suggest wines to go with your meal, which is a nice touch.
Warning: It is definitely not vegetarian friendly with its wide selection of meaty dishes, as well as the fact that one can see whatever animal is hanging in their fridges right from where one is having one's meal. Charming.

Simply amazing food, my sirloin was tender and delicious and the creme Brule was one of the best I had ever tasted.
