Mia's Angling & Scuba reviews
29Very well stocked, but also very expensive with prices that change at the drop of a hat, one person will tell you one price and then when you pay its another price altogether
If I could rate them zero I would. I took a surf rod in to have 6 eyes fitted, they handled the rod very poorly, fitted the eyes, only for them to be skew. I complained and they said they would fix it, a few days later and eyes are still skew, they see no issue with this after taking my money.
I bought a pair of Snowbee neoprene waders from Mia's which were fine the first couple of times I wore or at least I thought they were, because i Only used them on my float tube and only my back end sits slightly in the water. One day i needed to wade with them and the water poured in only to find that the neoprene separated underneath the wader material. I took them back to Mia's and they would not even look at me twice. This is a latent defect on the waders and should be sent back to the manufacturer.the problem here is that the product is made in China.
Anyway I have been dealing with Mia's for many years and have spent plenty as I'm sure many have. I will not be buying from them again
3 days of unaswered phones. Not cool. Will change my review if im actually able to trade with the store.
Office hours say closes at 5pm, rushed to get there after work, arrived at 4: 30 and the place was closed already.
Terrible service. No notice that they're closing early on a normal, non-holiday Saturday, you just get asked to leave the store because they decided they want to close early. Overheard customers from Deneysville also asked to leave. Seems they're not interested in selling anything. They also couldn't make up their minds if they were going to open the next day or not. Won't shop here ever again.
I phoned them, asked for a certain product. Made double sure that we talk about the same product. Got told they have stock in it and gave me a price on it. I drove more than an hour to get there, to find it is not the same product and got told but you can do this and that with the product they have. That is unacceptable
Very unhappy considering their reviews.every time I come to the place they're closed.on Thursday security told me they'll open at 13: 00 came back and was told by security they still closed tried to come back today still closed even though they say they're open
Drove over 150km to the store just to fined it closed om a sunday. Nothing om the site to say its closed or amything. Waste of time and diesel.
Very good service and loads of stock on the shelves. Can definitely not fault this store on those points as I mostly find what I am looking for when visiting frequently. But always check the prices as this store tends to be quite pricey at times and specials are especially expensive.
But all and all a good store with every thing you may need available.
Great store for outdoor equipment. Not only fishing stuff but also outdoor clothing. Great variety
Wao it was a super quick fly fishing visit today, but going on the friendly professional customer assistance, the wide selection of tippett brands, leaders, floatants, fishing camo gloves and even. Long AND short canvas gravel guards, plus the size of the fly fishing area. Id say this is probably the top in-person retail shopping destination for fly fishers who like good quality, variety and prices in western and central Johannesburg. Generally not keen on driving that far, but hey, for a fly fishing department looking THAT good, I make an exception:)
Has all the diving and fishing gear but really wish the staff behind the tills would wear masks!
Still think this is the best fishing shop in Gauteng. Huge variety of gear. From flyfishing t{ bank angling and saltwater. Also have a big scuba section
Wide range of fishing and scuba gear, zain has always given me awesome service over the years
I don't know of a better place to shop for all my fishing requirements. You won't be dissappointed.
Excellent value for money, staff very knowledgeable and helpfull.
We need one in Pretoria.
What a wide range of options. From rods to reels. From dips to baits. All your needs for bank or bass fishing and more. At amaizng price. And the expertise and service from the staff are top notch
Massive store with a large variety of items. Prices are reasonable and the staff give good advice
