Unbelievable selection. Need a little service. Got all the hero from Wayne who ess also there to purchase.
Fisherman's heavenly spot. Something for all budgets. M Zubair is very knowledgeable and patient.
One of the tackle shops that caters for every fishing crazy individuals needs, including scuba, diving and spear fishing gear.
Was helped by a guy named Zubair, was very helpful and made my shopping experience very convenient. Very knowledgeable!
One of the best equipped angling shops I've been into in South Africa. You need three days plus to get from one side to the other comprehensively. They cove all aspects of the sport and more and always prepared to make a deal.
My father who was down in JHB from Mozambique in December bought a pair of rocky sandals for my brother who lives KZN for Christmas. Whilst I was down in KZN in December we figured out that it was the incorrect size so i opted to bring it back to JHB to get the correct size.
Upon walking into Mias Woodmead this afternoon I was greater by a friendly lady and we then looked for the correct size, unfortunately there wasn’t a size 9 in Rockys however I found another pair of sandal which costed a little more than the rockys.
The lady advised me to give her a few minutes as the gentleman at the till was busy booking back the rockys on the system and then shortly after that took the new sandals and scanned it, at this point I was putting my hands in my pocket to get my wallet out to cover the difference (R50) the gentleman scanned the new sandals and said to me not to worry about the difference.
I stood there dumbstruck and was like are your sure!? Are you for real!? Yes it was only R50 but in a time like this with a pandemic affecting so many businesses I couldn’t help but feel so touched by this kind gesture which has left an ever lasting impression on me!
I would like to thank the lady and gentleman at the sales counter this afternoon for leaving me walking out your store with a sense of feeling so overwhelmed by emotions that a store owner in this day and age could be so generous and kind.
From the bottom of my heart I would like to say Jizakallah to you guys, may you all be blessed with great health, wealth and property, Mashallah
Great store that has everything you need for your fishing or scuba diving trip. Very knowledgeable staff.
I was surprised to find they had a well stocked fly fishing section here. And competitive prices.
Mias are a bit expensive but still in my opinion have the best range of Bass equipment in Gauteng.
Great store for outdoor equipment. Not only fishing stuff but also outdoor clothing. Great variety
Wao it was a super quick fly fishing visit today, but going on the friendly professional customer assistance, the wide selection of tippett brands, leaders, floatants, fishing camo gloves and even. Long AND short canvas gravel guards, plus the size of the fly fishing area. Id say this is probably the top in-person retail shopping destination for fly fishers who like good quality, variety and prices in western and central Johannesburg. Generally not keen on driving that far, but hey, for a fly fishing department looking THAT good, I make an exception:)
Has all the diving and fishing gear but really wish the staff behind the tills would wear masks!
Very good service and loads of stock on the shelves. Can definitely not fault this store on those points as I mostly find what I am looking for when visiting frequently. But always check the prices as this store tends to be quite pricey at times and specials are especially expensive.
But all and all a good store with every thing you may need available.
