News Cafe Woodmead

We had the worst experience ever my sister's phone was stolen inside their premises and we asked if they could check their cameras they wouldn't have offered if we hadn't asked. Then we were offered tequila as "compensation" without asking if we drink it which we don't. Pathetic service if you ask me

Place had some vibe last year mostly if not all saterdays been there and one could feel is out turning up. These weekends, dj system very bad and sound like a tavern.same with musiq

Used to rock last year. I dont drink and i usually just come all satedays night just to listen to good and quality music/system not anymore, nice food though

Service slow and lazy. Food not even close to offer in menue. Overspiced and to hot. Cappuccino saw the coffee bean only in TV add. Never again. 2stars only for ambiente

The ghetto. Waiters bring orders after such a long time and do not communicate well with customers. Turns into a tavern just after 11.

Very nice vibe but the SJ kept playing the same songs over and over and it really got very boring. My friends and I ended up leaving before it was even closing time and we don't usually do that. The hubly should be stocked more. It's a very nice thing to have while sipping on a soft drink, but having to wait for over an hour is not on.

The music was good but too loud as we were dining we could not have a conversation as we could not hear ourselves against the loud music. We had to move and eat outside and it was a bit chilled. If we wanted loud musoc we'd have gone to a club or something. I go to NewsCafe to dine and chat with whoever I'm with but your loud music cayers for people who want to dance the night away.

Not your classic nicest usually known NewsCaf in Jozi, have stopped going to the place every saterday. Not Vibey anymore #BringBAckTheViBeAndGoodQualityMusiq

Food was bland sent it back twice, mocktails where watery no garnish, and it was during the day so I don't know why the service was slow and waiters are standing by the door?

Food was not what it expected. Had a steak special but to be honest I think wimpy would have done it better.

Very quiet during the week. Staff not very attentive, had to look for someone to assist with beverages. Otherwise a well kept and neat venue.

Nice chilled place. Food was great. And although service is friendly, it's a little slow. But great place for business breakfast or business drinks.

Cottage was clean and well equipped. Beautiful views and walks. Food was excellent and staff very friendly. Well worth a visit

The std is high, Dj's excellence's top notch to keep you up and vibing and releasing the tension after a long week. Very refreshing

Just another Newscafe. I guess they are all the same. So can't really rate then on decor, layout etc. But the staff was friendly. They had cocktail specials. This one is conveniently located in the Woodmead centre, next to Makro. So with the summer days coming up, pop in for a drink.

Nice chilled vibes, I like their choice of music. Staff was friendly and manager kept checking on us. Been here a couple of times and I find that in summer the ouside tables are the best. Setting is perfect, food is good, the cocktails are worth the money. Great place overall.

I went there last night, nice music good people Zen vibe we really had fun, not sure what time they close but I left there around past 1am, sorry I didn't take pictures, it's situated +-500m from Makro woodmead

Very nice set up. Can get very busy in the evenings especially on weekends. The vibe is very nice in the evenings. They make a very good eggs Benedict.very relaxed if you are there for breakfast and lunch. There are also many good branches all over johannesburg and I would personally recommend this place. If it's for food or just for drinks.
