55It really saddens me having to read everyone's lovely experience with their deliveries while I still wait for my purchased bed to be delivered. I purchased my bed on the 3rd of November and had a planned delivery date for Friday, the 1st of December; and still to date find myself having to be the one calling the branch to confirm if delivery is still happening. I keep getting failed confirmed delivery dates and don’t understand why I need to be the one to call and find out what is happening. On top of all of this, they keep offering to give me free additional stuff like pillows and mattress protectors which I am not interested in because I just want the bed I purchased. It is just frustrating the way this whole process has been handled. Very disappointed.
It states online that delivery takes 3-5 working days. On our way to 3 weeks and counting, still haven't received our mattress. Correspondence is next to nothing. Very dissapointed
When I walked into the warehouse I was greeted with immense enthusiasm and was immediately sold. He informed me not to worry about the prices online as the in-store prices and online prices are completely different things coz I commented on how I see the prices are exactly the same and so I was ready to walk out coz I already knew what everything costs.
I told him I want two single mattresses for a child who will literally use it approximately once a month. He started with the mattress one step up from entry level at R1299, then brought out the next one up when I asked for the bottom entry level (this was the first thing to annoy me).
The first entry level one felt exactly the same as the next one up and it turns out the difference is only thickness. I asked him what the price is and he literally went on to their website (again missing the point of making the trip if the website and in-store price is exactly the same). He tells me R1000 - I can see online it says R1199 so I'm thinking this is the advantage of coming in and what the first guy was talking about. Okay now we're talking, I'll take two.
SUDDENLY he clarifies it's R1199.
No thank you. I walked out. I don't like their sales tactic which makes a mockery of my intelligence.
You've lost out on approximately R4000 worth of purchases purely because of how you handled me with your dodgy sales tactics.
Very competitive prices, the display area is disappointing, but they deliver on time and very friendly stuff.

I have changed my rating from the below 1 star to 4 star. Once I was able to reach the store on Monday morning I got excellent after sales service from the Manager.

I have rated one star due to the fact I can't find a customer service number or email. I have recently taken delivery (12 August 2021) of a reputable brand mattress and it smells terrible. I haven't been able to sleep for two nights now due to the strong unpleasant smell that radiates off the mattress.
It is now the weekend and it seems the mattress warehouse is closed. I hope by Monday The Mattress Warehouse has replaced the mattress I purchased on the 11th of August 2021, and if all the mattresses smell like this I want my money back.
I absolutely love my new bed!
And I got the best service feom Richard and Lebo from the Pretoria branch.
They did not even mind climbing the stairs to the highest floor in the building. Thank you ao much!

Good quality beds and service.
However, we bought two single beds for kids, kids damage beds, so we know these beds should last the next five years.
But the communication about the 100 day comfort trial sounded so threatening as if we HAD to get mattress protectors from you. Maybe make it sound more like an option. It used negative language and pressure tactics. In the email, change a few things?
1. Use more polite language such as "we recommend" instead of "you should".
2. Explain the benefits of a mattress protector more than was there, such as "keeping your mattress clean and protecting your warranty", it is much more positive that using conditionals like "if the mattress is stained or soiled without the use of a mattress protector this will affect your warranties and guarantees".
3. Avoid using negative language, such as "unfortunately not qualify" and "will affect".
The drivers Tshepo and Tebogo delivered the mattresses, there were no hiccups. Although, they were adamant that I fill out the review in front of them, not many people really want to stand outside their house and fill in a review now do they.other than that they are amazing workers!
