Sadly, restaurant soooo full, so what about social distancing in these times of Covid! Eventually conceded to take aways, and the ribs sadly not the same quality as previously experienced.

Armour fillet, beyond words. A treat for anyone needing a meat and cheese fix. Enjoy the taste explosion. Outrageously epic

Had takeaway options which is great for Covid times. Restaurant looked very lively and atmospheric, despite that the service was great and the food on time. I'd like to return when the pandemic is no longer such a concern.

Unfortunately didn't live up to expectation, for the price of the food I expected better, food was really poor, service was good though.

Got food poisoning so badly that I was completely bed-bound for an entire 24 hours - too weak to even go to the bathroom without assistance. The staff were friendly but the menus were sticky and obviously the food was off. Also extremely pricey for the quality food - R165 for basic and bland Schnitzel and chips.

Haven't been to Thunder Gun in about 6 years.not by choice, but been out of the country. Very happy to say, the service is still excellent and the food is as it always has been, insanely good. Ribs to die for, but do not be worried about ordering anything else - always top class

Well if you could choose your last meal. This would be the place you go to. The ribs are amazing, the steak well prepared. The started the snails are amazing. Found this place in 2013 and I honestly have never found a contender for it in Johannesburg.

It might not look amazing but the service, the host and the food. All rated 10/10.

You have to try this place at least once a month just to revive the happiness in you.

Ribs was so dry, tasteless and had hardly any meat on them. I'm sure i got 1kg of bones. I really wonder how they won best ribs in jhb.

A family favorite of ours. Delicious food, and they're especially famous for their ribs. Great atmosphere, it's always busy, for a reason!

Still the best Steak, Ribs or Eisbein in town.

I would never go back again, the ribs had no favour and dry. I wanted to leave after I had my first bite of ribs.

The food (ribs and T-bone) was surprisingly not great. This has been my first not-5-star experience here. But the service is always amazing.

Been going since I was small child. Consistently great food all these years with great service.

I had the most wonderful birthday lunch at The Thundergun. Our waiter, Victor, was attentive and he has a fantastic sense of humour too. The food is delicious and as per our order. We will definitely go back, again and again.

Great service and probably the best ribs I have had in my life (1kg option is not for the faint hearted).

Fantastic food. A bit outdated decor but again we go for the food. One of the best places to have ribs.

Friendly and helpful staff. Ribs are awesome, but was dissapointed with Eisbein. Food overpriced though.
