Yamakado Sushi Restaurant Fourways

Atmosphere is what you make it, the Sushi presentation, freshness and amounts were big and well worth the money spent. Thank you and well done

The service is always great. The staff are friendly and really helpful. The sushi has never disappointed me. If you are looking for an Asian place with good service and good food please do not hesitate to visit.

It's become a comfy go to. I have had their ramen, sushi, bao, and many other dishes not a single problem with any of it. Cocktails were decent although it is more of a food place.

The sushi here is from the top shelves. I would and do happily recommend this place. The buffet option offers significant value for money. They of course have a normal menu option. Yet to be disapointed. My fav, the tofu battleships with crab. Yum yum.

Really awesome sushi. And their chefs and speciality offers even better. And really well priced for what you get.

Over 1 hour to deliver and when it came: 1) the soup was cold 2) the dumplings had almost zero filling 3) the salmon roses were no longer roses, but flattened fish 4) the tempura prawns all had the tail still in and the prawns were not descaled … getting worse and worse

I absolutely loved Yamakado. The sushi was the freshest I’ve ever tasted, they had some great wines and the overall vibe was amazing. Slightly pricey for the quantities but it’s worth every cent. Great place to go with friends for an evening out. The staff was good too! Food didn’t take too long to come so that was great. Would recommend!

The restaurant is located on the Eastern side of Cedar Square with outside seating which is really great. The food is top notch quality followed up with great service. Pricing is acceptable for the type of food served. Excellent sushi.well done!

It was a first time experience at Yamakado for me. My friend chose the restaurant, as she's a regular there. She took charge and chose the dishes (she knows my taste, I was happy to be surprised). She opted for one of my favourite dishes: Peking duck, with assortment of vegs and steamed pancakes to share. She also chose a sushi platter that featured mostly salmon as the main protein. Our server was very accommodating and made our experience very enjoyable with good service.

Use to absolutely love this place however their service delivery and food quality has drastically reduced over the last few months! So disappointing!

Was highly impressed by customer experience as a whole, the Restaurant Manager Lebo I think provided with an experience i will never forget. Definitely coming back again.

Dine in dinner with the sushi buffet. Super impressed with the variety on the buffet menu- from hot bao buns, meat skewers and dumplings to the wide array of sushi (from the ordinary to some interesting concoctions).
At the price point the buffet is worth it.
Note they are closing at 21: 00, this caught us out as we took our time through the evening.

Man. This is one awesome Asian cookhouse. Buffet sushi includes, soups, spring rolls, chow mein, dim sum, bao buns, dumplings, yakitori, golden parcels, etc. All super fresh, and damn delicious. And the cocktails are out of this world and reasonably priced. I wish I could rate them higher than 5. And dessert. They have dessert on the buffet.

Yamakado changed my views on sushi. I was never a fan, but Yamakado adds sauces and ingredients different to your normal, typical sushi. Their buffet deal is exquisite with so much to choose from, not just sushi. The food is really tasty and so flavorful.

Yamakado is our favourite sushi/chinese restaurant in Fourways. We went on a Monday and the sushi was freshly prepared. They offered a buffet menu. My favourite dishes include their Rose Lovers, Yummy rolls, salmon fashion sandwiches and sashimi. Their vegetable spring rolls are excellent and the chilli beef delicious for those enjoying something spicy. Good value for money.

Food was good but the service from the kitchen was awful. Waited 20mins for them to prepare x2 spring rolls for me as a starter which was eventually served with my main meal.doesnt help when you're hungry!

We ordered Yamakado through Uber eats and collected it at the restaurant! The food was prepared very quickly and it was presented well. Sushi was a bit squashed in the little box though but tasted fresh and was delicious! The chicken chow mein needed a bit more flavour but the prawn chow mein was perfect!

Ordered through Mr Delivery. Mr D driver complained to staff at restaurant that order was taking long. Food came burnt and cold and chewy. Sauce messed all over food not sealed correctly.

I didn't enjoy the food the view and service were nice but I didn't eat half of the things I ordered because they really weren't great I ordered Pork bao sushi the rice was overly smashed and the deep fried dumplings a definite NO I ordered all my favorites and was not happy I'm sorry

Best sushi ever. And if you can eat alot of it the buffet is amazing. Well priced and a lovely venue with good service. Did I mention great sushi!
