Stretta Cafe

Beware of this establishment! Once you take a bite of their pizzas or sip a taste of their coffee then everything in life will become dim in comparison! Staff is full of charisma and more attentive than your own family (they light up the fireplace on those cold rainy days too). Food is fantastic especially the pizzas selections (we've had a few now) and the cocktails are generously measured to make up for those few booze bans

I love the breakfasts here but the other night I went for dinner and the food was very good. I have forgotten the exact name of what I had but it was a butternut and feta vegetarian spaghetti which was amazing. Our waiter was great and we enjoyed ourselves. We sat outside which had a casual quiet atmosphere and I really liked it.

Interesting experience. Ordered toasted cheese and tomato and a rosemary, salt and garlic forcaccia. The forcaccia came with only garlic. When I say you would need to restock on garlic after one focaccia it's not a joke.

Great place with even better food!

Also our waiter, Nkanyiso, was an absolute gem.

I had their Pollo Pesto pasta dish and it was Michelin status. I highly rate this establishment and it’s well- accommodating staff.

Great food and drink. We ordered pizza this time, the margarita was great, very tasty, but the Donatella was only okay. Otherwise good solid 4/5

The food was amazing. Very hospitable. Great venue during loadshedding. Nice outdoor and indoor seating. Quick service. Cocktails are tasty and well made.

This place pumps so reservations are recommended.
Lucky for us there was space outside & they supplied blankets to ward off the chill.
Prices are a little steep but well worth it. Great food.

This is one of my absolute favourite restaurants in the area, everything they do is great. They make amazing pastas, pizzas and cheese boards. They also have craft beers and gin and tonic on tap.

My food was good but some of my friends' food was burnt & had to be sent back.the drinks came to us after a long while & 1 or 2 at a time.not all the food came at the same as well

Good selection of food and drinks, including delicious vegetarian options (not vegan friendly though). Pizzas have the option of a gluten free base. Good selection of drinks, including wine, cocktails, beer, spirits, non alcoholic, coffee and tea. Amazing desserts!

The food is decent and enjoyable, if in slightly smaller portions than one would expect, prices are higher than average, but they do have specials that decent, for example their 30% off Monday deal.

The waitress was friendly and looked after us, a definite plus for the establishment.

A serious downside is that apart from their booths a lot of their chairs are straight up uncomfortable, especially the metal ones which despite a thin cushion (and not all of them have one) was still quite uncomfortable to sit on for longer than a few min. Considering we waited over an hour after we ordered for the food to arrive, it was a negative star experience.

That being said the decor is nice and they have a nice variety of food and drink options. With a few things fixed they could really shine.

A good atmosphere with good food. Used to visit regularly but now that i live outside of KZN, I only get to visit once or twice a year. However, according to a recent visit it appears that their standard has not dropped. The service is apparently a gamble and can sometimes be rather poor or amazing (there is no middle) but their food is always good. I have to admit its not the best place for breakfast, but lunch or dinner at Stretta Cafe is never a bad idea.
