Every thing is clean and in a working condition.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.

A great camp with one of the best restaurant locations in the park overlooking a large dam below. Pool facilities are also lovely and are the perfect addition to those long days driving in the park.

One of the only disappointing aspects is the mopani trail which is currently overgrown and is in desperate need of maintenance. On the accomodation front it is a pretty typical sanparks unit and you're largely paying for the premium of staying in the park

Beautiful and clean. A wonderful pitstop location while you are driving through the Kruger National Park.

Mopani is one of the best set camps in the Kruger National Park with a great view over a dam. A restaurant and pub are set on a wooden deck which allows for a relaxing meal or drinks with one of the best views in the park. The area is in the northern part of the reserve and is inclined to be a bit stiller than the camps in the south, which leads to better sightings as they are not that crowded. Accommodation is in the form of separate standing houses which are built in a modern style. The camp also has a conference area, shop with all needed foods, a petrol station and a day visitors area. There is no camping at Mopani but the nearby Tsendze rustic camp is one of the best in the park albeit there is no electricity, only gas and solar.

The guest house is run down and needs an upgrade. Ovens do not work. Grass in paving and generally run down

One of the best stays and definitely the best Indlovo restaurant in the KNP. (The venison pie is commendable, as well as anyone else's choice on the menu!). The view from the restaurant deck is amazing! Friendly staff. The swimming pool is refreshing after a hot day. Tsendze (rustic campsite) is part of Mopani and the best way to unwind in nature, with animal calls at night and the optional open air shower is a delightful experience.

Still one of the best camps in the KNP, great accommodation and friendly service! Thumbs up to Emmanuel at reception.

What a beautiful camp which is yet another example of how people can mess up an amazing place! The camp is in desperate need of general maintenance - the pathways to the units are completely overgrown with grass and plants! The view of the dam is gorgeous BUT hopefully you get a unit where you can actually see the dam because again plants are so overgrown that you cannot see out from the patio. The units are clean and big, but need a revamp.
The shop is an absolute disaster so be sure to bring everything you need so that you don't have to go there. The card machine seems to rarely work BUT there is literally no way to get cash in the camp which means you literally cannot pay therefore cannot buy anything at the shop. The attitude of the shop manager, Maritsa, is shocking and disgusting to say the least. After a massive debate and endless attitudes the Camp Manager was contacted who arranged a means of payment to assist us which was greatly appreciated at that point.

Beautiful camp if you have everything you need and don't have to interact with any of the people 'running' the camp.

Reception is a friendly, competent and fast. The room fits to the price. Simple, not new but clean. Price is ok. The restaurant is very good. Nicely located. Perfect service

The camp is neglected. Shrubbery overgrown and it looks like months since grass edges to walk ways were trimmed. The FNB speedpoint machines gave not worked for over 2 weeks and without cash you have a challenge. The 3 bedroomed cottage was is good condition, comfortable and linen in good condition. Our least likely to be visited again camp.

Kruger is always the best to be. Camp neat. Quite. Only little boring was the renovation of the restaurant that could've been done during lockdown

Our cabin was really clean and we really liked the whole facility. From my point of view one of the nicest rest camps in Kruger. I just wish it was a little closer to the south

This camp has an awesome view over the dam. Having drinks at the restaurant while the sun sets and watching the animals. Nice shop.

Always a wonderful camp. Food was excellent and service with a smile every day for 3 days. The Tzendze loops are always productive with wildlife.

Beautifull camp located on top of a hill next to Pionier Dam.there are a 102 beautifull chalets that blend well into nature. There are a lot of birds in the camp. There is a Restaurant and Park Shop. The swimming pool gives opportunity to cool of when the heat depletes your energy. The small day visitors area makes provision for a enjoyable day visit. The camp unfortunately shows signs of poor maintenance. The wood decks and walkways around the shop and restaurant are breaking up and the sewerage system at the beginning of the trail walk close to the Restaurant and park shop are spilling raw sewerage into the pionier dam. It is causing a tereble stinch and are major cause of water polution in the dam.

Brilliant staff at reception, the shop is the vibiest in the park, with super happy staff. Lovely deck at restaurant with lookout over the Pioneer Dam, animals visit regularly and very popular spot. Fuel available. Check in camp for Tsendze tented camp. Cards accepted
