Pronto Italian Restaurant

Great food and restaurant if you're attending but their online ordering system is horrid - simply doesn't work. We've tried multiple times but simply a fail each time

Waiter was excellent, servings were more than expected portions. And space was safe distance. Loved the whole experience.

Another restaurant I had seen a couple of times, passed it thinking it was bogus but boy was I wrong. This is without a doubt a quality Italian restaurant with lovely redolent interior and nice outdoor seating. We had breakfast and it was top noche. The salmon was fresh and the lemon sauce that complimented it more zhuzh. The service is great I am definitely coming back and menu pricing is very affordable. I highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing experience. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the lasagne and their ice cream (peanut butter flavour and the chocolate cake flavour) was yummy, came with a heart shaped wafer dipped in hundreds and thousands. Have a lemoncello to finish off the evening.

Most amazing lasagna I've had in a long time. Such a lovely vibe, if you looking for a great Italian restaurant Pronto is a must try.

Not only is the Fiery Prawns pasta overpriced, but the pasta and the ingredients were swimming in oil. It was so drenched, I had to drained it myself. I thought I was ordering a quality meal spread from reading the reviews but was very disappointed.

This was one of my favourite restautants but my latest experience was HORRIBLE. Not to mention I fell ill the day after, but the food was of very poor quality. The cheese focacia (bianca) which is usually oozing with cheese had so little cheese on it. The portion of my pasta compared to my partner's was 1/3, not to mention the number of beef strips. There must have been a total of 6 in the entire pasta. I decided to try the peanut butter milkshake. It had no thickness, and had chocolate inside. I will not be going back. A real shame. I believe they have changed owners but I stand to be corrected.

The pasta here is truly delicious, because they don't cut corners with the good ingredients. The porcini mushrooms starter is so divine. And the service really was so great - attentive and friendly. Thanks Pronto!

My pizza base was burnt to a crisp and your lines were not available for me to get you to correct it. Inedible.

We've heard good things, but were actually disappointed. We kept being told that the food will arrive in 2 minutes, it's almost ready etc.and after the host of our group eventually got up and went to the back himself to check what's going on, we got our food an hour later. The restaurant wasn't even that busy due to lockdown restrictions. Everyone had to then gobble their meals down to leave and be home before curfew hits.
The lasagne that was ordered was evidently rushed because the lasagne sheets were undercooked and chewy, whilst the cheese on top was burnt.

Highlight was the peanut butter milkshake and foccacia bread starter.

12 mins later. Cold crosant and cold chesse just slapped together. Very disappointing when all you want to have is sumthing yummy and warm. Not the 1st time this is happening over there breakfast.

When you submit an order through uber eats they take about 25 minutes to let you know they didn't accept the order, so my pleasure, take your 1 star review.

Fine authentic italian food in Jhb. In fact, they have the best Italian food in Gauteng, that I have ever eaten. Bravo. Keep up the good standards.

Pronto is as part of Joburg as our skyline. This is my favourite Italian restaurant and if I didn't know better I would have sworn they have a little Italian Nonna cooking up a storm in their kitchen.

The decor is stunning, with fairy lights outside and a cozy interior. They recently expanded their deli, selling the most beautiful aprons and delicacies such a dried porccini mushrooms, dried pastas and ready cooked meals.

Absolutely beautiful food. They didn't have a coffee milkshake on the menu but then proceeded to make the most gorgeous coffee milkshake ever - something they should definitely add to the menu! It was divine.

The place was just okay. It's quiet and has a "good summer" vibe feel to it. The service was good. I don't know if we missed something but the food was not something to write home about. It was decent though. The prosciutto and mozzarella starter was fine (the bread was really good). The mains were just okay (beef in spicy tomato sauce with linguine and beef spezzatino with mash and polenta). The experience just did not live up to our expectations.
