Zuid-Afrikaans Hospital

I was initially skeptical of going to the hospital due to the “Afrikaans” name and the history of the country but eventually went to the hospital and was admitted for 5 days and found their service to be very excellent. Thanks for Nurse Mojapelu, Kotlwano and other staff for making my stay enjoyable

but had a bad experience in icu with my husband whos lying there for 84 days now.some of the staff there have no personality, and dont even speak to you (theres a few that are angels) my husband lying on machines, very sick.but few days now he said someone hurting him and he dont want to be the anymore.he gets anxious when he hears a male nurse then he said thats him, he cant see clearly after stroke

The best hospital with the quality service delivery. Thank you to all the staff, nurses in cardiac icu, the porters, radiology department, keep up the good work and kindness Dr Kurian is the best of them all. Very kind hard working doctor who performs his duties diligently with passion.

I visited the hospital for businesses, it were just tangible, the spirit in the hospital, every one I passed in the corridors greeted me friendly, from the cleaners to the hospital manager, that I ran into on the lift.
Even visitors and patients greeted friendly. I did not experience any of that in the other hospitals I visited in and around Pretoria.

Worst service yet. Dr Coert Gous should take a look at the Drs he employs. Not up to standard and service is worse than ever. Not at all impressed with the casualty Dr on duty yesterday morning.

The service from the time of my loved one being admitted until post op has far exceeded the word amazing. Service with a smile and a warm heart is hard to find but today, this is how we were welcomed at admissions. I would like to share this public post to thank Sister Lydia at the Day ward for being kind and patient with us all day. All staff we met with showed us what the meaning of care means. Thank you!

I was admitted at ZAH on 28th June in Ward 25. At reception everyonewas warm and friendly. Sister Fikile who was on night duty on the 28th changed the positive perceptionI had of the hospital. She was uncaring and surly throughout her shift and ignored my request for an additional pillow. Spent her time gossiping about patients to the cleaning lady in isiZulu. Not cut out for the nursing profession.

All clean and well.
Some very nice and sweet staff.
Just don't expect privacy.the decency to knock or close doors because of noise or need of using bed pan does not exist in all staff

I wish to recommend ZAR as one of the better hospitals in Pretoria. We had experience friendliness and caring towards us as family when my dad was admitted in the General ICU ward for more than 3 weeks. Most of the physicians were professional and caring, but I wish to highly recommend the services of Prof Veronica Ueckermann. She saved my dad's life and took further steps to recommend him for ongoing treatment with another very caring specialist.

Brilliant doctors. Outstanding nursing staff. Immaculately clean. I can recommend this hospital wholeheartedly.

Best hospital I’ve ever been in. Thank you Ward B staff and high care. Dr Nel is the best doctor ever, Dr Lubbe is a magical creature and Dr Kapp is the most caring human. This team is amazing.

Absolutely speechless on how bad this place has become, never in my life would I ever come back to this place.

Staying at this hospital was worth every second! All the staff and Drs are very friendly and helpful. From check-in, the reception ladies were friendly and organised, and from there on, all processes went so smooth until into the OP room. The aftercare from Nurses Marietjie de Klerk and Fanna Nkosi was so caring, and the way they treat every patient with the utmost patience (myself incl.) is something to admire. The food was brilliant everytime!

Very satisfied with my first visit to this hospital. Traffic into the hospital was a bit of a nightmare. Was impressed with a coffee and bottle of water at Dr Thobejane's consulting rooms and the warm welcome of his staff. Very professional, well done and keep it up. It definitely was a pleasure.

Stay away, dirty place, everything is so old and broken and they don't care about the people only in it for the money

Exceptional patient care, just one thing my family member needed me to be there when she came out of theatre and taken to the ward. This was not allowed I think the patient should have a bit more of a say.

The Wound Care Centre's not professional at all. They have a bad attitude and are not willing to assist you.
